Some lovin for the CB500T

All right dudes. So, since picking up the 919 and Super Cub, and restoring the CB750, my trusty Brown Cow has kinda been pushed to the back burner. The CB500T is a great classic, and even the 1,000,000th Honda made was a 500T and Mr. Honda himself rode if off the assembly line. Okay, since I'm done talking it up, I now turn to my fellow WT-ers for some help. I bought spoke kits for my CB750 and i think they might have one for the 500T, but I can't find the link. Anyone know someplace that sells stock spoke and nipple sets? That's really all it needs, and a back tire. And a good cleaning. Maybe a seat; mines starting to tear. I'd like to put some color matched hard bags on it and make it a grocery getter. Pretty sweet. Thanks in advance.

Here is a great site, club and forum for these machines

VJMC.org

Kind of odd to me, calling the machines that many of us used to consider "State of the Art" are now vintage......

Honda usually has the spokes, did you check with them?

Here are the part numbers and list of other machines that use the same spokes:

Google them and good luck

cut and pasties (one at a time for best googling)

That was the first street bike I ever owned, a 75 CB500T. Loved that bike. Only thing I didn't like were those long extensions on the mufflers (which I disposed of with a hacksaw).

Yea, the 500T is a great ride. Pretty vibe-y in the higher revs, but weren't all the parallel twin Hondas? I'll call my Honda shop and see if they've got kits or if i'd need to buy each spoke individually.

Buchanan's Spoke and Rim has been making their own spokes for at least 35 years, and have taken several of my hubs and custom laced and trued excellent wheels around them.

I strongly recommend their stainless spokes and nipples -- at least two sets of wheels I had them do for customers 30 years ago are still in service, and not a spot of corrosion. They're hard to beat for any price.

I was seriously thinking of having the stainless spokes installed on the KLR(back when I had some money kicking around) Well, it was a thought anyway.......no yingum no more.
