I sadly parted with this 10 months back... the turn-in on this bike was SCARY if you weren't ready for it. Fun fun...

Beautiful CBR. My old hardware isn't anywhere near as pretty.
This one went to a new home today. I'm gonna miss her:
And this is her more mild-mannered twin, that I still have, though she's for sale, too:
Doing a little work to her right now.

The XL-250/350's were/are fun bikes. I had the 72' XL-250 it was the first street production bike to have a 4 valve head.
Why are you selling yours?

sorry. The first one is a '57 BSA Goldstar 500 single with '01 Harley front end and back wheel. 12v electrical & disc brakes (you can actually see the road at night!) The bottom two pics are one of my '85 Kaw 750 Turbo's, fuel injected and turbo'd from the factory. This one has a Wiseco 810 kit, zx636 front & rear, larger turbo, throttle bodies, & injectors. 18 mos since starting the frame-up resto, just a little wiring left for the digi 636 gauge & Monster headlight.
Oh yeah - kevlar/composite fuel cel too.

a stock bike makes about 100hp on 11psi boost which starts at just under 4k rpm so it's pretty doggie down low. The 810 kit gives you more bottom end and with forged pistons allows you to crank up the boost. I dyno'd my '84 3 wks ago and made 202hp on 24lbs of boost. I installed a button-controlled
2-stage boost solenoid which is like having nitrous but never having to fill a bottle. The only newer bikes I've had were a '91 zx11, a 90 550 zephyr (for girlfriend), and a 01 Duc 748 which I sold 3 mos later(hated it). I just bought a 05 919 which
is when I found this site and could not believe the overall "zoominess" of the thing and how light it feels. A stock 750 Turbo weighs about 550lbs, porker! I havent weighed my naked Turbo yet but I think I shaved about 100lbs off it so hopefully it will feel more nimble, and with 180hp it should boogie pretty good.
I've already been thinking about turbo-ing the 919 but without redoing the top end you could only run a few psi of boost without blowing it up. Besides,
with my other bikes being older and having a bunch of mods, i intended the
919 to be the mild one. Boost is so addictive though........
sorry for rambling, i love these things

thanks, Justintyme. With two little ones under 3 running around & a small business to keep going, bikes are a great distraction/stress reliever.
