Picking this old girl up in the A.M

I saw it, I couldnt believe it,I called him,I bought it! I bought a brand new one of these in 86 and there probably hasnt been a motorcycle that I've owned since then that made me feel the way I felt on that motorcycle. Dont get me wrong here,I've owned an almost countless number of bikes since then that have been great but....this one is the one that I always wished I still had....

I'm not sure I could ever re-buy the very same type motorcylcle I ever bought. I think it would be like remembering the first girl you slept with and how awesome it was. Then years later you get the chance to do it again and it turns out to be the worst sex of your life. I would rather have the first memory. JMHO. Good looking bike though.

This was two months ago....how about an update?

I never got rid of my first street bike. I've had it for 20 yrs and (after a few mods) it's more fun that it ever was. Twenty others have come and gone.

Sorry for the lack of update... I drove down there to get it (2.5 hrs) and I've got to tell you I would have been ashamed to show that thing to anyone let alone ride it. There must have been 2 gallons of mixed JB weld on the bike, It took a Native American war chant, some burning ancient wild flower petals and a lightning strike all at the same time to get the bike fired up. And it ran on 2,sometimes 3 cylinders if it eventually started. I tried and tried hunting one down after this fiasco but opened the wallet up and bough a new ZX10 instead...
The feeling is back...only 24 yrs later.......

If I had a chance to buy all my old bikes back, I'd do it in a second without hesitation....Unless they were in the shape that this thing was unfortunately in. As far as the old girlfriends go...You must not have went out with the same kind of girls I did....

Mate - years later your first girl would have had many, many rides and learnt how to get her knees down and would now give you a ride to really remember.

My friend who I just bought the 1978 CB750Four from has one of these for sale as well.

I believe it is a 1986 or 87 But his is all Flat Black, he said something about they mostly made 650;s this year, but his is a 750 and some guy at a bike shop came out drooling all over his bike saying something about how it is something different than most bikes of that year.

Now I am NO EXPERT, and I did not pay to much attention to what all he was saying, but it is for sale if anyone is interested, it is in Niceville Fl.
