Bike is gone

Well it didn't take long to find a home for this bike. It's gone on to be used as parts. Thanks again.

Hey Mlito, I'm pretty sure that I was the guy who bought your 550. That engine is powering my 550 snowbike. Those engines even in that shape is totally rebuildable with a little more care and $. They are basically bulletproof. Should you get a hold of another one in the same condition... grind off a link on the timing chain, it'll make life easier, the rest is a good cleaning, some honing , some new rings, new seal kit, timing chain, and don't forget to give it a valve job. Before you start to assemble it , the casing is already split, clean the shifting fork rods ( and everything else in there) and be sure the kickstart is working properly. be sure before you split the casing that the crankshaft is operating perfectly smooth, visually check and replace all bearings if needed while checking the crank bearings, slip on the new timing chain. when you are satisfied start putting it back together. If you get in a jam , I'm local, drop me a line on WT. Remember, that your last project was just practice for your next project.
