My Honeys First Bike

Don't laugh, plus she'd strangle me if she knew I had posted this.
Then she stepped up ( no pun intended ) to a Norton P11, way too tall followed by a Norton Commando which lead to her KZ650.

That kawi is awesome, I would love to have that thing.

I love seeing posts like this.
My wife was going to get a baby CBX in the 80s, the wee 400 naked that Honda had.
But she started her riding school pregnant, the 3 kids came along, so all that went out the window.
BUT
To this day she is still a passenger on the pillion.
And there is a good chance that the 73 CB750 will be back on the road next season.
Gosh, we'd have to choose which 4 to go out on !

The P11 should be worth some serious cash if you still have it.

Very nice, very nice. My girl just got an upgrade after we had to say goodbye to her first bike at the end of our 2,300mi road trip this summer. KZ440, that I had to to turn into a KZ400 after the first motor ate it --> Ninja 650r
(The 400 blew a spark plug right out the head, and my side of the road fix ended up with junk+threadlock in the cylinder and an engine that didnt turn over anymore... ! fail.)

That pic is when the bike was brand new in 1978, I cut it up the first week she brought it home. She still has it and this is it today.

Dave do you know a fellow named Ralph who owns approx 20 bikes and keeps a number of them in his house?

Rich

Meant for you, seems an acquaintance has a brother named Ralph who lives in your neck of the woods and has a terrible bike addiction.

Doesn't sound to terrible to me. Maybe a last name and I might know who you are talking about. It's a small world after all.

Your pictures make me wonder how many women there are who have had bikes since they were young. And how many are left.
