Anticipation is making me wait.

This morning I checked craigslist. All the recent project bikes have really inspired me to get something going. But I've been looking for just the right project bike, today I found it.

Traded a few emails with the seller early this morning but he stopped answering me about 3:00 after I asked him to call me to wrap it all up. Now I suspect someone got in and got it done, swooping it away before I could wrap it up. Hopefully he just got busy and didn't check back but here it is almost 9:30 and still nothing.

argh!!!!

Here's the ad. http://tampa.craigslist.org/mcy/412022687.html

Here's what I plan on restoring it to look like:

That would be an awesome project bike and a great little showpiece/conversation starter.

Good luck with the search.

The 305 Dream was not all that popular back in it's time. The hot setup was the 305 Superhawk. It would run circles around larger bikes of that era. The Dream would make for a cool resto. project.

My dad had a whole slew of 305 Hondas back in the day; Dreams, Superhawks, and Scramblers. He's got a picture of an American Dream he owned that had an absolutely hideous color scheme. I haven't seen it in awhile, but if I recall correctly it was dark metallic blue with white sidecovers and a bright red seat. I had a 160 Dream that was a lot of fun. They are really neat bikes!
