New Season of Cafe Racer

So I am setting up my TV/Recorder to watch the Isle of Man on HD Theater this morning and a commercial says watch the all new season of Cafe Racer 2 Wednesday 9pm/8pm Central. Lets see what they can cobble up this time?

Nice!!! They made some great bikes. All except that damn abomination they did of the 919. IMO the tank already lends itself to a Cafe style tank. He put Pontoons on it!!!

Yeah the wheels are f*ing sweet! But that tank!! YUCK!

They had a front wheel bearing go out on it when the guy in the second picture was riding it. He crashed pretty hard as he was at least doing 60 when it froze. Dude was pretty pissed. The build blamed it on the wheel maker. Came back sometime later with a new wheel bearing in and they took it back out. Gave it good reviews but I still would have said "Yeah, but......it looks like shit"

Saw that episode too. Don't know which was more shocking: The stupid tank or the wreck itself. I did like the show, tho. Gave me the itch for an old bike that I'm still looking to scratch.

Love the spokes. Hate the tank. And they kept the stock shock! That's not a cafe racer!

I caught that show a few times and just scratched my head. Why take a nice bike and turn it into an ugly torture rack? That "guy in the second picture" is Eric Bostrom, a professional racer. He rode that POS franken-niner and bit it when the wheel locked up. I bet he thought, "That's the last time I go on some random cable motorcycle show and risk my life on an untested garage project!"

I didn't get to watch the show, but that motor sure looks familiar, doesn't it? not the twin, the I-4.
