New 919 Owner Intro, Central MN

Just writing to introduce myself and show off my new 2002 919.
Currently own:
Just bought for $3500:2002 Honda 919, Euro Blue, Two Brothers dual undertail exhaust, Rizoma titanium grab rail covers, Lockhart Phillips tank bra, Smoked Flyscreen, 15 tooth front sprocket (down 1 from stock), rear fender eliminator kit with aftermarket turn signals, 4000 miles
For Sale: 2002 Honda 919/CB900f - FargoStreet.com
1975 Honda CB750 not stock
Past motorcycles:
1992 Harley Sportster 1200
1974 Honda CB750

I was also looking at a stock 2006 red 919, but I just couldn't pass up the blue color with the two brothers. Very sweet looking bike with awesome sound. I didn't know a 4 could sound so good. The bike was originally sold in Canada, then made its way to North Dakota. I put 250 miles on the 919 last weekend and am very happy with the purchase. Awesome power and handling compared to my past bikes.
I just purchased a motech centerstand (thanks to the info here at wristtwisters) and I plan to put the front sprocket back to stock for better highway traveling. I will probably add engine guards or frame sliders and a tank bag.

Welcome, eh.

I just bought my 2002 a couple months back and have been enjoying it immensely.

I too was surprised at the good sound of the motor -- in particular, the intake sounds pretty mean.

Previous owner said he switched to a 15 tooth front sprocket, he gave me the stock one, so I am going to put it on.

What part of MN?

Myself and a couple friends will be taking a road trip this weekend, probably end up around St. Cloud, probably head over towards Alexandria before heading back to SD

Congrats on the bike

I'll also claim hailing from minneaps (13th and Hennepin so yes, minneaps) but also Plymouth. But alas, I'm in Fargo now. I miss the area, loved tooling around my favorite lake roads and finding new streets along the way on my kz650. Went through there for a couple hours on my 1400 trip from Fargo to Milwaukee on the 919...and then back around all sorts of areas.

My buddies want to get up and leave by 8:00 Saturday morning and ride all day, I'm good for a couple hundred miles, 300 tops in a day. Personally I want to just get a place downtown St. Cloud within walking distance of a few bars so we don't have to worry about that.

I'm guessing early afternoon, go for a swim and bum around some.

Plan on stopping at a few cycle joints along the way and a few sporting good stores. Both friends are on Harleys, ironic thing is they both always want to ride my 919.

Shoot me a pm if your going to be around

welcome

That blue sure looks nice

From your pic looks like it has stock brake lines - you should also put some Galfer SS brake lines on - they look nice and really firm up the brakes.

But then again, my wife claims I am always looking for a reason to tinker on my bike

welcome to WT!
