Hell, Allan, I was out most of the day cruising some really awesome mountain roads, both paved and dirt, with some good friends today. It was glorious...
How's your house (and the rest of your area) doing with the recovery?

Well, fire the engines! Spur this iron space-pony on!
Meh - it is a waiting game now - the Government men will arrive in nice orange vests and give the house a good going over, calculate what it will cost to fix etc then 'get back to us' I'm number 4,000 something on a list of 50,000 plus claims (and growing). Earthquake Commission (Govt) covers the first $120,000 then personal insurance takes over. To be honest I'd be really impressed if anything gets fixed this side of Christmas!
We are feeling fine about it all presently as we have half a dozen friends all over the city who have houses that will be bulldozed. One poor bugger has two! But his bikes are OK.
I did mow the lawns yesterday so it all looks better!!!!!!! Plus it is Spring here and the blossom is out - just don't linger on the cracks through the block-work hahahahahaah
Even better I got out on the bike for a hoon which improved matters 10 fold, and I've ordered new bits to replace the cosmetic damage.
Is there anything better than a box of new bits arriving at your door?
