I can now retire the 919

Finally figured out why the Kawasaki only wanted to start when it wanted to.

I can finally take the tank bag and tail bag off the 919 and put them back on the ZRX.

I be one really happy old fat guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya right. I give it a week and your 919 withdrawal will be too difficult to cope with...

My 2001 ZRX1200 has an after market (HoleShot) delay box for the shifter. It is a delay box that goes to the coils and a cylinder on the shifter that kills the coils when you shift. Naturally the delay box only dials in the amount of time to kill the coils for the shift. Also has a ZX11 Ninja brain box that has to be rewired in so I could never figure if it was carbs or electrical. When it ran the electric shifter worked perfect so it was the last thing I thought would be bad.

Got tired of riding a sissy Honda and fixed a mans bike to ride again!!!!!

I did ride the 919 up to the beemer dealer after work to order a cam chain guard and it was only to make sure the battery was staying charged.

That is not admission but only that it was closest to the gayrage door.

I do think there may be a headlight problem with it so I may have to ride it to work tomorrow morning to see what happens in the dark.

Just thought I would let youns all know that the headlight is fine and it was just my night blindness messing with me.

Guess I might need to start looking for some kind of throttle lock for it because it will make it better for the wife when she rides it.

Don't know what happened last night but got off work and went home then remembered a bank run I forgot to do so I started the 1200 and got regeared and left.

I got back home 1 1/2 hours later and the wife is laffing but will not tell me why. Finally my niece that lives with us told me the wife went out and shut off the 1200 after I left.

The 1200 was running and I hopped on the 919 to make the bank run.

Old man brain fart I guess

Well it was not planned that way and I guess I was thinking I just got off the 919 and in a hurry.

I am still elated that the 1200 is firing right up and stayin runnin since I disconnected the delay box.

I also think it is time to put the 919 back in the corner of the gayrage so it is not so easy to get too.

Yeah, might as well take it for one last run to get rid of the gas though, right?

All the bikes are always kept full with stabil in them because they are never put up for the winter. I have cold riding gear that works in 30 to 40 degree weather even if in them temps I only go 30 miles playing around.

sounds like preemptive reasoning to ride the 9er to me.

No, closest to the kitchen door so he can pet it when he takes the trash out past the Kawi .

Great story, Bobby. Understand how the helmet can muffle sound and all, but how the heck you start up the 919 and not notice two bikes running instead of just one? Lol.

My mind was some place else and just not thinking and if I was thinking right I would not be riding a HONDA.

I was looking for my keys at work one day and no luck in finding them. Right before lunch the guard calls and ask how long I want to leave my car running. She shut it off and brought me my keys.

Just when I'm getting a little bored of the Bobby 919 denial stuff you pull out a gem like that! That one's right up there with your best, Bobby!

I have been putting in a lot of hours these last couple weeks and have not made runs out to the gayrage until last nite.

I HAD a blanket thrown over the beemer (that is right - HAD) for cosmetic protection. I take some parts out to the gayrage and I know something is different but cannot figure it out. Turn the furnace on and start cleaning off some of the work bench while trying to figure out how to fix my F-up on the ZL600 carbs.

It finally hits me that I do not see her 919 because it is under a blanket.
