How long have you known your 919?

I picked mine up 1 year ago today. Happy birthday girl! (as I write this it's raining outside while I'm inside. I don't think she's too happy with me)

How long have you had yours?

I picked up my 2004 919 in Jan. '06, and my 2007 919 in Aug. '08 - it's almost our 3-year anniversary! I've been riding her every day lately, but I just gave her an oil change and wll be taking her out both days this weekend for a few hundred miles of extra special attention!

2 years, 1 month. She had 354 miles, now has 6050.

And she looks NOTHING like she did stock, which is good!!!

Oh, and my insurance bill has dropped TWICE in price since then. Go figure!

It's funny that you say that. It's true for me as well. I got mine at the end of Oct./04 with 13000 Kms on her. Just went over to 160,000 Kms/100K miles last night. Still runs like the day I got her. Looks nothing like the same bike but never lets me down.

I've had my hands all over her and she likes it when I ride her day or night.

This has been going on since 2007 and she still purrs like a kitten and just loves it when I rev her up.

I even make her cart Givi bags now and then when I make her do my errends.

Even then she doesn't complain.

Might keep her around for a while.

Her only fault is that she has yet to get me out of a ticket with her smile.

Oh well, you can't have everything.

It'll be 3 months in 2 days for my '04. But I had been lusting over a 919 for years. Looking forward to spending a few weeks with her in august on vacation. Just the two of us all day long. Once I get back I'll have to make a photo montage with this as the backgroind music...

Just for the record I am not a momosexual or a nine-o -sexual but both labels I would wear proudly.

I am throttle polygamist. It feels so refreshing to at last admit that to the world. LOL!

For those of you that have not yet figured out that the relationship with the bride or significant other human in your life gets better when she knows you have a few extra girls in the stable. I would highly suggest you express the advantages to her.

She knows she may loose you now and then but at least she knows who you are gonna be riding when it is not her and best of all when you are off riding one of the stable girls you can always know she has some companionship if she gets lonely while you are away.

If you get really lucky she might even take a real likening to them and heck they do their hair up put on make up and wash and wax etc like the girls do when the man of the house is away.

You should all give it a try.

I highly recommend the throttle polygamist route.

I am sure with a bit of coaxing your human significant other will see the absolute logic and practical real world advantaged to the throttle polygamist route. Trust me she will love it!

Oh yeah, just for those of you that are a bit slow to the obvious. If your human one is really good once in a while you can let her know you will take her along with you and you can have a three way ride together.

It is important to spend quality time together never forget this!
