Congrats! Those are some of my favorites for the 9'er that I have heard. Very clean look too. Good luck with the install. The kitchen can wait.

Put x-cones on my niner in May. The install takes less than 30 min. Super easy. I would drill out the rivets for the the DB killers, if you want them out that is, before you put them on the bike. I believe is used a 3/8" drill bit.

They sound sooo good & look beautiful. Good luck. I'm sure you'll love em.

The stock cans are easily twice as heavy as the x-cones. You will notice it as soon as you unbolt one of the stocks.

Good choice. I was debating between those and the yoshi TRS's. I went with the Yoshi's but the xcones are nice. I just put mine on today. Day 2 of my 14 day leave and I had the wife out in the garage helping my install the cans. Then, to top it off, she likes them with out the db killers much more than with them. Yeah, she's awesome.

well i installed them today and did a little technical work as well. the stock cans weigh 8lbs more than the x-cones which is good for me cause i only weigh 140lb. fired it up with the silencers in and it was eh, took out the silencers and it was woah!!! sounds freakin mean!!! if i didnt have a few drinks while i was installing them i would have taken it for a test ride but i was a little buzzed so i just revved it in the garage and grinned i got a few pics as well i got to post up. just standing the bike up straight and sitting on it i can notice the weight loss. feels alot lighter. i guess when 8lbs is high on the bike and in the back it makes a big difference. oh well, pics and ride report tomorrow

Do you need to get the PC3 when you install these or is that just an added want?

Here's mine haha. Love the way they compliment the shape of the tail and make for a sleek look. Some of the other exhausts can get a bit chunky looking. Also sounds better than any bike I can think of.

I like 'em! I agree with Redrokr, they do look like the stinger on the hornet! Very, very nice. How do they sound, how loud?

well, i wont lie, they are pretty rowdy. not in a ricey-squid-on-a-600 way, but more of a deep and mean kind of way. with the silencers in they are real quiet, but its a weak quiet. overall i really like the sound of them. fitment was extremely easy and so far no construction flaws. for the price i think they are well worth it
