Its the Givi made for the 919? I forget the model #, its the 919 specific one tho..
Got the same windscreen, even same color. Windscreen is A755N and the 919 brackets are A256A. Brackets are NOT available from Givi. Very hard to find, I know...
Ferris, by the looks of it the pipe is pointing directly where the passenger footpegs go. If I ride 2-up do you think this setup would affect my passenger at all? Thanks for your help!

He no longer has passenger footpegs, looks like aftermarket rearset. That's why I can't use that silencer on my 919.
Went for my first long run of the season. Did about 200km of secondary roads from the beach area inland. I grew up dirt riding and I constantly find myself off road exploring even with the 9'er. I went on a few dirt/gravel roads, think I need a dual purpose bike next.

Yup... I think HeliMech's 919 as one of the purdiest around. The scheme is well executed IMO wheels, windscreen, exhaust, pow coat, everything. Eye-candy

Hey I noticed you mounted your hanger bracket directly to the "rearsets" Noticed any vibes with that? Was it necessary to do as you did the GSXR/RR mod?
Having the seat reshaped is in the works. If someone would buy my god dam wheels i could get the seat done and a PCIII. All in good time i guess. From now on i will switch back to my OEM seat for pics just for u guys. Lol.
As far as bolting it directly to the rear set goes. I don't really notice any extra vibes. It wasn't necessary, it just lined up there so i ran with it.

Coming along. Added the flyscreen, blacked out the headlight ring and side covers.
Next up, new front indicators, removing the grab bar and 900r header/exhaust swap.

Hey, you got F4i forks on your bike... any noticable difference in the amount of stiction compared to the stock '02-03 919 forks?
Either way tho, I would imagine resprung F4i forks would be an improvement in comfort for me, being 155-160 lbs no gear, seeing as how you have added compression and rebound adjustability over the '02-03 stock forks...

The F4i forks (and the fender) were on the bike when I bought it (it was one of the things the sold me on the bike), so, unfortunately no before/after. I got lucky and the guy I bought it from weighed about the same as I do and had it set up properly, so the front end feels pretty solid to me. I can squeeze it pretty hard and never feel in danger of bottoming them out and they feel good in corners.
how bout over potholes and freeway expansion joints?
I love my 919, but the stock forks are just god awfully uncomfortable and harsh for my weight on the torn up roads and freeways here in LA... I NEED a real fix if I'm gonna continue to ride it.

Yes, I know that. But he said that the person he bought it from had it setup for a weight similar to his. So I'm wondering if F4i forks would feel better for someone lightweight like me than the 919 forks would with the same weight aftermarket linear springs in each.
Apparently the stock 919 springs are like a .75k/.825k dual rate or something like that, but all I can say is that over bumpy roads, they feel super harsh on my 155-160-lb frame. And seeing as how that the stock spring rate is already relatively low, I haven't been in a hurry to get new springs, since it doesn't seem like the spring rate would be the primary reason for its harshness for my weight.
Maybe what I should do is first change to some linear .85 springs and see if it is any improvement in plushness in my '02 919. If not, then I think it may be worth it to try some adjustable '04+ 919 or F4i forks and transfer the springs into them.

definitely f4i would be an upgrade to you 02 units. Go for it.
F4i's are 0.66. If you think stock are harsh, I would try 0.85 and at least reshim stock valves. I bet 02 are harsh for you more for its crappy valving than spring stiffness as they do pretty poor job to control that spring rate

Ah ha... Now when you say reshim stock valves, are you talking about reshimming the stock valves in the F4i forks or the 919 stock forks (or both) to go along with new 0.85 springs?
