[QUOTE=MotoCycho;411895]Aren't bikes in the Malaysian market speed or power limited? Restrictors on the throttle bodies, ECU programmed for less air /fuel etc? I know there was a thread about bikes in Vietnam which were imported from the Japanese market suffered from this. In fact, the thread was all about getting the restrictions off if I remember right? So, does Malaysian market gets same neutered sh!t?

Just read on another forum where Jap bikes get re-imported back into Japan. The forum stated that bikes come from "US,Canada,Aus,NZ,malaysia and europe". Perhaps Malaysia bikes are not restricted after all. A restricted bike would definitely suck.[/QUOTE

bike price in malaysia is ridiculously high, yet the restriction is almost none..US spec's bike is always avoided around here. so theres no restriction issue.

kawasaki is extremely popular in malaysia becoz they are the only japanese brand which have a subsidiary in Malaysia. The rest are imported through grey importer so, no after sales service from the supplier compared to kawasaki. secondly it is hugely popular because the price is cheaper than any of the japanese brand.

i have no problem with kawasaki. i have a zzr1200, a z750 and a zx14 before. i love the design of the new z1000..it look italian to me but i just dont like the overall package.

riderforums.com is prolly the most established forum available for the Z1000, and particularly the new 2010. That being said, there's still not much established yet, maybe 10 pages of threads so far....
