was not overly happy with the pc3 maps i found on the powercommander web site.... so i looked on one of the vfr sites and found a couple different maps for scorpion pipes... runs better *(the first maps i tried i found out were for non vtec vfr's) very wheelie happy in 1st and will pick up the front a bit in 2nd... which is all i ask for anyway....

i r happy with it now...

fag!

Pipes sound great! I'll expect a full ride (not a ride report) when I'm down there next. I'll be sure to let you know when to expect to loose you bike for a while.

well... i did the flapper mod... and desnorkeled it.... *(the intake snarl is almost as nasty a sound as those scorpions..)..........

the butt dyno feels a definite definite power increase... way more snappy down low and the top end charge really feels about the same maybe a touch more... but defiantly stronger down low... which works for me....

the sound is heavenly... the only negative is the new pipes stink like skunk's ass when you stop...*(good argument for not stopping)...

i got the whole enchilada *(pipes and pc3) for $825... and feel i got my moneys worth for the looks and the sound..*(and the low end power increase)....

it is very very very wheelie happy in 1st... and will lift the front a tad in 2nd now *(it wouldnt before).... thats with 237 pounds of me on it....

i r happy... .......

The more miles you get on that VFR the quicker/faster it becomes.

Not sure why they seem to take so long to "break in".

When I was at the shop, we checked the valves on a couple of them, and it is a total PIA - but neither one had any valve out of spec.

Very well built machines.

Nice lookin cans Dad..

And any reason to get the front end off the ground is worth the measly $825.

Sounds cool. Careful on the butt dyno thing, we have heard your butt dyno isn't very reliable.

Anything that takes a good pounding regularly is likely to lose its calibration. Just saying is all.

By the way, are you ever going to do a write-up on that new bike. Or, did I miss that.

i think i have written it up...

in a nutshell... i love it... i wish i would have bought it instead of the 919 it fits me much better size wise and the sounds coming out of that v4 engine are pure music *(especially since the exhaust and the pc3) but before when it was bone stock i thought it was aaaallllllmost perfect... it is a confidence inspiring bike... it handles much lighter than it actually is *(it could stand to lose 50 pounds but couldnt we all)

it was sneaky fast.. now with the exhaust and desnorkle and flapper mod there is more music to enjoy... *(i took it for a spin around the block sin casco and i almost didnt wanna come back home) ahhh sweet music...

this bike has reawakened my passion for riding.. it is uber comfy with possibly the heli bars being the only other mod i make along with a double bubble winshield...

long story short.. if you can find one at a good price it is money well spent on a bike that will stir your soul....
