Off topic... but Billy, your 9er was beautiful. It was actually your bike that convinced me I needed (ok, REALLY wanted) a 919. Looking forward to what you'll do with the VFR800!

I planned on a charity ride today.

Plans can change quickly, Jared (my son in law) hosting the ride went ahead of me to help with registration.
Before I could get my gear together, I get a phone call. Come get me.

Clear road and cold tires can be a problem.

Hope the road department does not find out he did this.

Amazing how far a bike will slide on it's side after high siding.

He was due for a oil change anyway.

Looks like standing on the rear fender and exhaust not a good thing, will have to research crash bobbins for the rear.

Many have reported the stator is weak anyway. Great time for a upgrade.

Jared is not seriously hurt, some real road rash on his rear.
Side note, guess today I came out of the closet. Undressed my first guy. :005: OK I had to cut his pants off to minimize the screaming.
Because of the location, No pictures for decency and good taste.

Oh what the hell, if you dare, down load the picture.
This will be the last time I cut a pair of pant's off anyone.
Photobucket deleted the picture.
Hotfile.com: One click file hosting

The worst bit was his good shoulder may no longer be called that.

Check out the helmet.
Jared is one lucky fellow, the air vent was ripped off from above the visor and the marks on the screen where not there this am.

Sorry to hear.... Yep, I'd say a stator rewind is probably in order.
Glad the Son in law will be ok. Looks like a straight section of road. An animal the cause?

I ripped the post from another forum as posted by my father-in-law... I don't remember my accident but I remember turning onto this street (didn't stop at the 3 way stop sign) and the tires sliding. I increased throttle then the rest is blank. Pretty sure by the look of things that the tires hooked up suddenly and I looped it. Maybe not a total loop since the damage is only on the tail and the exhaust. Maybe it hit the tail, dumped me off, then fell on the left side and slid for a ways. Not a good day... Now, I am healed up and ready to ride more safely!

This looks like an awesome project!!!!!

My brother is getting ready to buy a VFR and can't decide if he wants to go mild or wild... is the RC51 front end a direct bolt-on? It would be nice not to have any issues with the steering stem.

Yeah, I'm waiting on parts and a lot has happened. My fiance was in an accident Tuesday which put everything on hold....

She's ok, but the car is totalled....now we are "shopping" for a car, but I just thank God she's not hurt any worse then being sore and shaken up.

I did get some parts in though, so expect an update very soon.

It is a bolt on if you use a 929/954 lower and remove the steering stops.

Glad to here your girl is ok. A good one is much more valuble than any cage. And I say to Jarad, "There is no replacement for displacement"
