My new R1
Just got it delivered today. Finally got to ride it tonight. The kids take priority so had to wait till she got home. The exhaust note is like nothing I have ridden before.
The bike is extremely easy to ride and you can keep it in one gear for pretty most street riding. Off the bottom feels like a v-twin when you hit around 5k it feels like a another twin coming to life. The shifting is very smooth and seemless. The handling is neutral and very light steering. It seems to mask it's weight well. The tires are new cold ground, and sand. I kept it under 8k I could ride like that for 90% of my riding.
The negatives clip-ons a little low. Looking at heli bars. The clutch has no adjustment for lever distance. The lever hits my knuckles and clutch is still slightly engaged. I may need some Pazzos or CRG's sooner than later. The heat from exhaust pleasant for this time of year. In summer your chestnuts may roast

u may need to adjust the clutch cable, sounds like thats the problem. looks great btw.

the new r1's with the cross plane crank have the most sexy exhaust note EVA... followed one the other day just to listen to it for about 10 min straight through some twisties.... had a hard time concentrating on the road!
