Found a dream bike. (HEY PVSTER!)

I stumbled across an ad on craigslist for a bike I have been wanting for years. The stars aligned and I made it happen.

It is a 2002 CBR1100XX Blackbird. A very sweet bike, near immaculant condition. Can't believe I figured out how to get it. But I did. This thing makes me giggle like a school girl everytime I crack the throttle. This thing is truly amazing. In the lower register (below 6k) it is extremely well mannered, feels like a small bike, handles VERY well, and plenty of usable power. And if you decide to open it up, it becomes a rabid animal, like you opened the lions cage at the zoo. WOW!!!!

Anyway...

This can't go on too long, as I NEED the money to pay for the CBRXX, so anyone interested in a sweet VFR800?

HEY PVSTER! Want to repeat the magic of a year ago???

It's a shame you can't have both. They look awesome side by side.

I'd LOVE to have that VFR. Too bad you're in Calif. OK, maybe it's a good thing you're in Calif!

I've always had a soft spot for Blackbirds, even if they're not really my cup o tea. You did good.

Great looking XX. Is that a 919 swingarm on it? It looks identical right down to the stickers and chain adjusters.

919 doesn't have that angled bottom edge, it's just square, I believe.

not the same swingarm... if you look at the parts fiche they are completely different.... tho they do look VERY similar. they probably use the same back axle holding machined aluminum block.

either way. VERY nice bike, id kill myself with that kidna powa.

A great looking XX in superb condition. I don't know how you could part with the yellow VFR. I would be liquidating assets to have the best of both worlds.

Ride safe,

Doc

Nice XX, I lust over those bikes too.....

Looks like you got a nice Corbin seat and Yosh exhaust in the deal.. mind giving us some details on the mileage and a rough idea of what you paid? Purely for research purposes of course.
