Sato exhaust...

Gone on a long frickin' deployment with the plan to buy Satos when I got home. Hmmm, they aren't for sale anymore. PM if you have some low mileage satos. I know, a longshot. Thanks,

Heaps of other options available to you and a lot cheaper. I seriously doubt that the extra $ will give any noticeable increase over a set of say Yoshi cans. MIVV X Cones = yum!

Keep your eyes open. i bought a high mileage, slightly damaged set for the cost of shipping. After purchasing repair parts and having a professional welding shop fix the cracked welds, I have less than $50 in them. I still need to drop another $50 or so to completely rebuild the inside, but that's it.

They pop up once in a while on ebay. You can create a search that runs automatically every day and sends you an email if there are any hits.

You probably knew that already but just in case..............

Your longshot shot may have come in.

Currently in the process of removing mods from my '03 919 in prep for sale.

I've got a pair of Gen 2 Ti Satos with approx. 10,000 miles on them. They look nearly new with the exception of a small dent in the right side from something in the garage falling against it.

PM sent

I think the Yoshi's are the second best. MDToney (I think) has the best Yoshi's I've seen and I know they sound good.

I seem to recollect reading from this WT website that the Gen 2s were not as good from a quality point of view.
The early ones (large bore) were said to be better.

Personally, I'm a real fan of the Yosh, superb quality and not excessively loud, but they are not the only game in town.

When I was shopping for my slipons, I looked at Erion. To be honest, I knew Yosh had a reputation for being on the quieter side, and superlative quality.
I wanted a quiet setup (not silence like the stockers ! ) and good quality, so Yosh it was. I never heard or read anything negative about the Erions. However, Two Brothers was being slagged bigtime back in 2005 as being power killing crap, in particular their full systems.

Did you get the Hindle from GW in Calgary ?
The Hindle slip ons (and Ohlins) that an employee ordered but walked away from when he quit ?

Hindle is good stuff.
Hey, I remember meeting Lang in 1975 at Circuit Mont Tremblanc, he had just got a Yamaha TZ750 and was racing it for the first time. He was a real genuinely nice guy. He later did real nice headers for the Kaw 1000 superbikes, and was said to be a bit of a whiz at reading combustion chambers and piston tops.

I really like the sound of it. It has a rumble with out being obnoxious. Reminds me of the de-baffled exhaust just a little quieter and more refined.

Do they sell stuff on ebay? I purchased the adapters off ebay from a place in Calgary. The slip-ons are from the same place but were originally for a R1. They had two sets at the time, one in red and one in blue. I bought the red set and bought different end caps so they worked with the bike better. The Ohlins was found on closeout on Importations Thibault Ltee's dealer page. Guy at the local Honda dealer found it for me. Once ordered it arrived in just a couple day so it couldn't have been to far away, so maybe it came from Calgary.

Gotta laugh, I have no clue if they use eBay or not !
They actually phoned me and offered me the Ohlins for a mind boggling good price, but I already had the Penske so did a pass.

Honda racing has been using Erion for some years in some teams - can't be bad!

I'm a big Yoshi fan. Quality build, fit and overall product that is actually made for each bike not just a universal muffler. I wish I could weld as neat as the Yoshi guy/gal!

Old photo, but I'm considering something a little quieter? I'm starting to appreciate less noise and just had the bike out for the first time this year and while I LOVE my Sato's around town I get tired of them on the open roads.

Not a 100% sure of selling mine and haven't looked into what they're potentially going for or what it would cost me to switch? Make an offer and give me a few days, worse I can do is say no....

5000-5500 miles on them, look just as good as the day I put them on 4 years ago. Still have original box, even have the UGLY heat shields somewhere.
