599 Headlight Fairing

I've been trying to find the small headlight fairing that was on the 2005 or 2006 599 and I cannot find it anywhere. I check bikebandit and almost every other possible place I could find. Any chance anybody on WT has one they would be willing to sell or knows where I could find one?

This 919 has the headlight fairing i'm looking for.

Thanks!

I haven't looked at one or the fiche. Is it integrated with the 599 instruments?

Hope you find it! Thats one sexy looking 599. Are you sure that isn't one off? Looks like a lot stuff is aftermarket in that picture.

Actually, that's the Braveheart *919* pictured. IIRC, the little deflector was custom made for their custom instruments.

I was under the impression that you had to swap the 599 instruments over.

I believe you can make it work with a F4i gauge swap.

i hate you guys!!!!

zaq cime in on if you think stock light / guages would fit behind the 599 screen.

mounting doesnt look to be too bad as it would connect via the headlight brackets.

nd4spdbh, you definitely deserve a cookie for that. I have spent hours searching for that!!

Yes, that picture is not the stock 599 but my computer was acting up and not letting me upload any other picture of it.

I think i may order it but I'll probably wait until winter to do so. I am also considering making the complete swap and putting the 599 headlight on as I've heard that gives you better illumination at night. There are some threads on WT about it that don't make it seem very hard.

sorry I didn't see this thread

Anyway, 919 gauges won't work (too big) and 919 headlight stay won't work as side brackets from 599 which holding the screen are mounted completely different from 919 setup.
919 headlight can be made to work but it would be a good time to upgrade to 599 light.

you will need f4i gauges which will fit with a little mod.
599 headlight stay, 599 shield and 599 headlight side brackets + hardware
599 headlight is the best part of this upgrade so definitely DO get 599 light

haha.

zaq... is it just not possible for the stock 919 guages to fit width wise in the lil windscreen? im not worried about mounting, as that can always be fabbed... but i would like to try and get the guages inside the lil fairing.

width wise it will probably work but 919 gauges are sticking out too far and 599 screen will not fit nice and neatly over the headlight. Look at the pic, see how much of an angle 599 screen has in front? Now look at a pic of 919 with 919 screen: 919 screen goes almost vertical to clear 919 gauges before it curves
