My daughter happens to show great promise in both dance and golf. The problem is: lessons are expensive. So, it looks like my Hornet has to be sacrificed.
It has the well-respected Ohlins rear shock with reservoir and remote height adjustor, as well as Kyle Racing's Ohlins revalving and re-sprung front fork treatment for a 185 lb rider. Frame mounted sliders. PCIII Mapping from Kyle racing for a baffle-ectomy exhaust. Exhaust has turn-down extenders. Steel braided front and rear brake lines. Buell Fly screen as well as larger removable Lexan-type windscreen that stays off except when it's really cold. Vibranators (by RICOR) with bar-end weights. Adjustable risers. Seat reworked for firmer rider seating position by Spencer. Headlight modulator. Tail-light modulator. Flapper mod. PAIRs replacement with block-off plates. 5400 miles with two oil changes already. Aftermarket mirrors. Slightly modified rear fender, but, keeping the stock turn signals. One more tooth on front cog to lower cruising rpm and it makes the speedometer more accurate. Still has original tires. Of course, it is red...which reminds me, it has a tank guard application on top as well as where my knees touch the tank. Never been dropped, scratched, rained upon (I live in the desert), nor has it had any other problem (other that the poor stock suspension...which has been addressed in a most excellent manner!).
I am the original and only owner. Title free and clear.
KBB says an excellent condition stock bike retail is 4885.00 in my zip code: 89052. I will sell it for 4750.00 FIRM. I'm not in a panic to sell, and if it takes until cooler weather, or until next spring, that's fine with me. The mileage will increase slightly, as I will ride it at least once a week for at least 30 minutes to keep it in top shape.
Let me know via PM if you, or someone you know, is interested. Don't need any trades. Cash or equivalent is required.
Dr. D: Yep, I knew it was coming...only problem is that I won't have my camera back until Thursday! Thanks for reminding me to state why I don't have pictures of it up yet. Basically, it looks like any other new, red 07....except for the Buell Fly screen. And the sliders. Oh, and the different colored rear shock. And the Hornet decal. And the braided brake lines. And the exhaust tip extensions. Dang...I better get that camera back fast!

OK, I have pictures. Only problem is: they are in my computer, not on a shared website. I hit "Search" for "How to post pictures", but, I haven't figured out if it can be done direct, or, if I need to get them to a share-site. If someone is kind enough to have me email them to you, so that you can put them on a share-site, I'd really appreciate it.
If you click the "Go Advanced" option at the bottom of the page for the reply box, you can scroll down and there will be a "Manage Attachments" section...there you can search your computer and upload the pictures.

When you click the go advanced you will see the little paper clip icon at the top of the field, click on it and a new window will pop up, click on the browse button to find the pics on your pc and add them.
What?! No one is gonna ask if the ohlins shock can go separately?!
OH, believe me, there have been PM's to that effect. I've promised it to one person (who will send me their stock shock) if I decide to break the bike down and sell it at a lower price. Let's face it, at 4750.00, it's not the cheapest 919 on the market. But, it's one of the only ones with front and rear Ohlins, and there are no qualifiers about it (no scratches, no drops, no rain, etc.).
Someone that buys it as it sits understands suspension upgrades and the costs involved, and appreciates the cost and benefit of a Power Commander...that's 2000.00 of upgrades in one sentence. It would be like selling a stock bike for 2750.00 IF someone wants these upgrades and would do them anyway. I've seen banged up older essentially stock 919's going for the low 3000's. So, it's priced right for the right rider...I doubt I'll have to sell the shock separately, but, you never know!
They are offered by Kyle Racing. Polished the sliders, revalved, resprung for a 185lb rider, new oil of course.
It really took the wiggle-hunting out when on the brakes hard setting up to pick a line to get through a bumpy corner. Now, I trust the bike is going to behave and stay where I point it. I'm not a racer by any means, so, racers may still consider this bike to not handle well...for me, I can't imagine it handling any better!
Can you explain the tail light modulator that you installed? I'd love something that flashed when I was braking, but have not found anything that is compatible with my 919.

buy the custom led tail light. Here is g00gl3it video which shows the blinking much better than my video
The amount of blinks before it goes solid is programmable too.
Just to be clear; did you find an LED tail light that already has the blinking relay built in, or did you have to buy both? I have a blinking LED tail light for my BMW that I bought here:
Unfortunately, they:
1) Don't offer products for Honda
2) Have terrible customer service. Check out their thread on AdvRider.com if you don't believe me. Lots of product not shipped, no return phone calls, and people pissed because they don't have the product that they paid for many months after ordering.
I used the simple plug-and-ride Kissan. It's as simple as replacing a bulb. The LED one's are probably nicer.
BTW, I put a new rear tire on this bike (went with a BT-016), as it probably only had 10% tread left on the rear...I have an old saying: 90% of tire problems occur during the last 10% of it's tread life. Not a factual statement, but, there's an element of truthiness to it.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I just may be able to keep her after all!
I wasn't expecting a bonus, but, I got one anyway. With a few PBandJ's for lunch the next few months, I hope to be able to hang on to a bike that's nearly perfectly set up for me!
Thanks for all the well-wishes I've received...it means a lot.
Can you help me out on what exactly you did with the exhaust tips? I may give up my Delks if I can modify my stock exhaust to where I won't get the exhaust stink on my clothes anymore. Thanks!
