2007 Aprilia Tuono -- Fort Worth, TX

Figured I'd start here before resorting to CraigsList...

I'm selling a low-mileage 2007 Aprilia Tuono with a few tasteful upgrades. I'm asking $5500.

GENERAL INFO:
-- mileage = 12,xxx
-- I'm the 2nd owner -- bought it in San Antonio with 3,200 on the odometer
-- garage kept
-- Michelin Pilot Road 2's with under 1000 miles on them
-- bike has never been down
-- clear blue (non-salvage) Texas title

UPGRADES:
-- Leo Vince slip-ons
-- Ohlins rear shock
-- Pazzo levers
-- -1 front sprocket
-- +1 rear sprocket
-- adjustable footpegs
-- battery tender pigtail

VERY RECENTLY: (last 100 miles)
-- changed oil & filter
-- replaced coolant
-- replaced cluth fluid
-- replaced brake fluid (front only)
-- replaced spark plugs
-- blasted air filter with compressed air

ISSUES (all minor):
-- small ding on left swingarm -- previous owner "trailering" incident
-- small scuff on left radiator trim -- previous owner "trailering" incident
-- slip-ons slightly dinged from a vehicle that "tapped" the back of bike
-- guages suffer from "slight" fogging issue that is very common to Tuonos

Test rides are allowed under specific conditions. PM for details.

Heinz

One of my riding buddies just picked up a Tuono similar to this, and absolutely loves it. I am getting used to seeing the tail end of this shrinking in the distance when we go riding.

Someone is going to get a great deal! Good luck with the sale!

Awesome bike! Wish I were in the market as that is one bike that has been on my short list.

Thanks for the compliments.

It's been an awesome bike but 90% of my riding is commuting and this thing is a bit of overkill. That's why I picked up the 919. It's a bit more practical and I can still get my kicks.

That's a gorgeous bike. Someone's going to get a killer deal man... if I had the cash I would fly down to Texas and ride that baby back up here to Minnesota. Good luck with the sale, I'm sure it'll be quick.

A bit too sensible probably. Comes from being an engineer at Lockheed for over twenty years.

Really, my skills and riding habits don't do the Tuono justice. I can go just as quick in the urban environment on the 919 and get better mileage and range. I will miss the V-twin music though.

Here's a pic of the Tuono along with the recently acquired 919 and my wife's FZ6... notice I put Aprilia mirrors on the 919.
