Thumbs up ***SOLD***FS: 2007 Honda 919 (VA)

Name: Scott
Location: Williamsburg, Virginia
Price: $4,300

Description:
Well...it's time I listed my motorcycle for sale here on this forum. I have had it on Craigslist for a little while now, so I figured I would give this place a shot.

The bike currently has 19,8xx miles on it and will continue to rise because I still ride the bike almost daily. It's mostly stock, except for Renthal Ultra Low bar, round bar end mirrors, Motovation frame sliders, and the headlight ring/gauge pods/aluminum cover piece (beneath the rear of the gas tank) are painted black by myself. The windscreen is also painted black from the inside. Bike will also come with stock handlebar and mirrors. Disregard the Delkevic exhausts in a couple of the pictures, I have perfect condition OEM exhausts installed instead. The bike runs very strong and smooth, and hasn't missed a beat, starts up first try every time. Bike has a recent oil change with Honda GN4 oil and a Purolator motorcycle oil filter. I have maintenance records, and receipts from the previous owner's maintenance. The bike has never been laid down or crashed, clean and clear title in my possession. Bike has never been abused, it owned by an older gentleman before me. There are no chips in the paint and only normal surface scratches that are expected from a bike with this mileage.

Why am I selling the bike? Well, I miss having a sport bike...even though this bike has more power than I probably will ever be able to fully utilize.

Some pictures. The first two are before I did the painting for the headlight bracket, etc. and before I sold the Delkevic exhaust. The remaining pictures are how the bike currently sits.

Thanks Looking at getting a 600 sportbike again, preferably an f4i since I'd still be able to take my trips on it. Plus the insurance on the f4i is half of what it was on my 919. But I'm trying to keep my options open even though I really want to find an excellent condition f4i. Yes I know, certainly not an "upgrade," but it's a different style bike, and I miss owning a sportbike. Unless there's another really really good deal that pops up for a different bike, I'm most likely getting an f4i. I just missed one in Fredericksburg, 05 f4i, 11k miles, really good condition, $2900. Sold yesterday.

If it's what you want, it's an upgrade, plus you won't stink. Hope you stick around.

Hard to believe an f4i is cheaper then a naked bike.

No kidding.

At least for me, 22 years old. I'm with progressive and I believe the engine size and year has a lot to do with it. I had to pay $64 a month for full coverage with my 919, got a quote that an 06 f4i would just be $30 more with full coverage, or $10 more just for liability.

When I had my 919 and vfr on the same insurance, they were $95 total with full coverage, and the VFR alone was $32 a month...so I figured the f4i would be the same.

Progressive is weird with their rates, they vary so much. Give statefarm a call.

When I was 22 I had an F4i with statefarm for around 35 bucks a month full coverage. Progressive wanted something like $5000.00 a year.

Now I'm back to progressive, 919 and GSX-R1000 with basic/comp but no collision and I pay $42 a month.

The day I turned 18 I went and started the process to get my motorcycle permit.

First true (legit) street bike at 18 was a Suzuki Bandit 600. Progressive was around $90 a month I shortly after left them behind for statefarm where I was paying around high $20s for full coverage.

Statefarm is hands down the cheapest motorcycle insurance place I can find. IF you insure your car with them. Before leaving them I was paying $37 a month for full coverage on my 2007 GSX-R1000 with a $500 deductible.

I only left them because progressive is so much cheaper for my other cars and I got tired of having our autos split up across two different companies just to save on the bikes. I also thought to myself if I would ever use insurance money if I were to have an at fault crash and without a doubt I know I wouldn't. I'd rather pay out of pocket then to get raped for 3 years from my insurance company if they even kept me on after renewal.

Small crash = totaled bike.

Why have full coverage if I'm not going to ever use it? Main thing I want is comp, so if its stolen, falls over, or I hit a deer..... I'm covered.

At least it wouldnt be an at fault claim.
