***SOLD***(2010 body) 2011 Triumph Speed Triple SE $9500 (Midwest USA)

I purchased this back in mid July of this year so the warranty is good until July 2013. I'm selling it because I need to put some ease on the wallet as a few things have fallen through for me recently.

This bike looks amazing still, I had been using it for a daily driver up until now and I'm constantly getting compliments from bikers of all kinds and ex-bikers about it. It's 100% unmodified and I commute it daily on the interstate. I was extremely frugal with it during the break in period, and the dealer I picked it up from told me to only run Amsoil, so that's all it ever got for oil changes (which I've changed it twice, once at 500 and again at 2000) and I only used Triumph filters. Even though I changed the oil myself at both intervals, I took it to the Triumph dealer afterwards and had them double check everything else on the bike. I have all the service records and paperwork to go along with everything, the owners manual is still unwrapped and in the Triumph carrier as well as everything I could find on the bike from the dealer.

This thing sounds fantaaastic, it has amazing torque everywhere in the RPM band and is a pleasure to take everywhere. Whoever purchases it will not be disappointed in the least bit with it. Anytime I thought there may have been an issue, I took it to the dealer and they calmed my paranoia (I'm about the most meticulous person you've ever met). Also, I have a full 3M clear bra set that will come with it that I never got installed. I was waiting to take it to the detail shop so they could do it for me and never had the time.

I'll get some more pictures up tomorrow:

Hmmmm, thinking I might not do this... I had a HELL of a time finding this bike and I just found out why, they only made 250 of them world wide. I'll keep this up for now though.

That's the bike that made me put my 919 up for sale earlier this year. The bike sold before my 919 did.

Did you buy that from someone in Minneapolis?

Actually I'm the first owner. There was a very small Triumph dealer in Omaha that I picked it up from, didn't advertise, sells maybe 60-70 bikes a year and I just got lucky and stumbled across it. I tried like hell to find this paint job, I never realized they produced so few (which is making it even harder to sell).

If it doesn't sell I'll put it in storage until it's paid off, I have a couple of issues with keeping it at the moment though, one of them is I'm moving to Japan for a little while and I don't want to deal with the payments. If I end up moving there for good I'll ship it over.

Yeah, it's something else. I've ridden a lot of liter bikes but never anything like this. The amount of usable power it has is incredible, it's everywhere in the powerband. Yeah you gain more hp up top but the torque it has down low, I never have to shift down. I can afford the bike but it's just easier without it because in about 18 months I'll be moving out of the country for some time. I sure as hell don't want to sell it though, it's one of the best all-around bikes I've ever been on.

You can imagine it's difficult to price it even like this when you only bought it less than a year ago for closer to $12k. But, that's what you get when you buy anything brand new.

I truly will not be sad if it doesn't sell. I mean a load off my mind and my bills if it does sell, but damn I love this thing.

It's one of the only (or very few) Triumph S3s that ever came with two tone paint, they all had the 'wind screen' and rear seat cover as standard, and it's a 2011 registration. They also have a gauge cluster I have yet to see on any other S3. I don't know if it was just a short run or specifically this edition.

I did some research on the bike, "The Speed Triple SE debuts upgraded suspension, which will be introduced to all Speed Triple models. Changes include modified internal components in both forks and rear suspension unit to improve damping. Combined with a 5% softer rear spring, the latest Speed Triple offers improved ride comfort, reduced fork dive under heavy braking and improved body control." And the two tone paint job are the only differences from a regular '10 s3.

I'll be damned, I looked it up myself. Did not know this...

"The new Speed Triple SE features all you love about the iconic Speed Triple. The original factory streetfighter and more. An uprated suspension and the first two tone paint scheme in the bike´s 15 year history. Available for a limited period."

"Special edition. The Speed Triple SE debuts upgraded suspension, which will be introduced to all Speed Triple models. Changes include modified internal components in both forks and rear suspension unit to improve damping. Combined with a 5% softer rear spring, the latest Speed Triple offers improved ride comfort, reduced fork dive under heavy braking and improved body control."

Quoted from:
2011 Triumph Speed Triple SE specifications and pictures

Thanks sml!

It'll sell sooner or later. I have somebody else asking me about it, I just threw a counter offer at another guy, there was some interest a few days prior. So in other words, I've dealt with 4 people, I only have to waft through 11 more tire kickers before I find somebody willing to buy it.

I keep going through my head, trying to figure out a way to keep this thing. Life is much easier without it, but much better with it.

Someone will buy it soon, heck winter still isent officially over yet. The best thing about your bike is, that's the final year for the round dual headlight, which I think are way cooler looking than the new set up.

Washed the bike today, went out for a little spin afterwards. I went to go turn around in some unknown area and some little kid was making the "semi trucker honk" little arm pull dealy on me, so I honked real quick. Then some little girl ran out towards me as I did that and yelled "DADDY!" WHOA THERE, lets not get hasty.

Freaking hate selling vehicles. I just received news that I'm leaving the country in three months which is great considering somebody is coming tomorrow to buy the bike. Just got a PM an hour ago "Just bought a Ninja 1000, thanks anyway, good luck on the sale."

*sighs*
