Anybody else get this email? What's up with that?

Dear sbeau1960,

Your access to the paid subscription "Excellent Donation" is about to expire.

If you have selected a recurring subscription you will be automatically billed for the renewal, else to renew this subscription you must visit http://wristtwisters.com/payments.php

If you do not extend your subscription, access will be removed.

Hey Scott, hope all is well.

The donation link is tied to the subscription service, it's a simple way to integrate with the paypal tunnel so once the "subscription period" has passed it automatically fires off that email.
One of the things on my to-do list before I absconded with billions was to reword that email so instead of sending the default script it would be more tailored to how we did things. Less gloom/doom and more thank you for your support.

Will you lose any privileges if you take no action? Not a single one that I'm aware of.
As subscriptions/donations go though I'm sure Lash appreciates all who give.

I just cancelled my subscription after making a small donation and not realizing it was a subscription - I would rather donate when I can, and these days, that is not real consistant.

I don't want to subscribe, but rather donate whatever it is that I feel like at the time (like you). I sent an email asking about this, but didn't get an answer that I understood. So, if anyone knows how to just donate (and not subscribe), please explain it to me.

Read Jet's explanation, it's not so much a subscription as just how the system works. You can make donations whenever you want, it just calls it a subscrition and automatically sends out that notice. You won't love privileges or anything if you don't continue to make donations. Maybe someday Lash will reappear and fix this minor annoyance.

Just to reiterated, there are no functions or features of the forum that are tied to the donations. Every portion of the site and community, all functions and features, will always be free to the end user.
