i am having trouble getting a .gif to work...

someone please help...

i have uploaded it to photobucket and it works there... but in the change avatar screen i link to it and it shows a picture but the avatar don't move...

i am pulling hair out over this... please help...

Check the requirements for the animated gif to work on this site... ie: size and dimensions

If the site requires the avatar to be 80 x 80 and no bigger than 100kb (as an example) and your gif is either 85 x 80 or 101kb, the animation will not work

Thanks for the reminder Brian...
I was gonna unleash a new animated gif avatar on the WT socitey a while back, but I ran out of momentum trying to find a way to get it watermarked. I gotta get back on it.

but yeah, check the size requirements and try just uploading it directly instead of hosting it somewhere & linking to it.

I made my gif here ....
gifninja.com - convert your video to animated gif

And i resized it to 80x80 here ... Animated Gif Image Resizer Lite v1.01 - Resize Animations Online

Mine didnt turn out to be the greatest but im sure you can come up with somethin.

edit: realizing mine was smaller than most i went back and changed size to 150x150, still wrks but kinda blurry.. ill fix it later

Make sure the size of the GIF is now larger than 150 pixels by 150 pixels. There is a file size limit to GIF's as well - if your GIF is too large to fit, but meets the 150x150 requirement, email it to me at lash@wristtwisters.com and I'll manually add it to your profile.
