Just sayin...
Because if you have read any of the responses I've gotten on this original post (a mistake, obviously) you'll have seen that most folks agree that the dampers are the problem and some even say how dealers just grab a handful and throw them in. And because since I never had the feeling until the tire was put on, I was asking what everyone thought might be the problem. I didn't just make this stuff up... WT members suggested it!!!!

Oh, and as for this...
Watching Hairball bounce all over the showroom with steam coming out his ears: Priceless

TOO freakin funny, dude!

I asked to get this thread deleted so you people would stop getting your panties in a bunch, but apparently someone wants to keep it here just so you guys can slam me for not being happy with a dealer who can "get right on it" yet make a customer wait almost 2 hours, only to have "issues" after he rides away.

I pretty much got my answers of what to check for and what it might be, but you folks want to continue to post your opinions about ME rather that about the issue I originally asked about, so be it. Knock yourself out. If you don't have an answer, why not just move on to the next thread where you can be of assistance to someone else. But to bash me because I'm an unhappy customer is not only a waste of your time but a waste of bandwidth and space because I'm not interested in what you think of ME personally. I only asked a serious question about an honest problem. Was that not fair? I'm sorry you don't like that I'm not happy with the dealer.

But ya know what, my friends? I went on a 400+ mile ride today and did NOT notice the wierd vibration! Odd. Maybe it was only the tire and it's beginning to break in. Not sure, but I didn't feel it even once today. Really.

Thanks for all of you when the replies were serious and helpful.

The whole trashing Ripper on paypal thing got me pissed off, although I'm sure not as much as it did Ripper. Just went back and read through several of the threads started by this spaz, in virtually every one of them he's freaking out over some slight, real or imagined. No product ever works right, no one ever provides good service, the bike always has something catastrophic wrong with it, someone is always going to pay when he figures out how they've wronged him. It was comical at first, quickly grew tiring, and now that he's attacked one of our respected members, totally unacceptable!

seriously.

I didn't mean for anyone to wig out on my take of his wheel problem. I was just pointing out what sometimes happens in the shop. My family was part owner in a mc franchise for over 25 years . You see EVERYTHING on BOTH sides of the counter. Good and bad . Oh well - Like Brian said you gotta have thick skin if you're gonna be on the net. gale

Not your fault at all Gale, we're just dealing with some clueless guy that constantly jumps to the worst possible conclusion instead of just logically figuring out a problem using a rational common sense approach.

Don't worry bout it. He woulda freaked out no matter what to told him.

He flipped out at me because I asked him to stop linking up photos of people killed in motorcycle wrecks.

I still wanna see him banned and I have never asked a mod to do that before ever.

I don't want him to have the satisfaction of leaving voluntarily.

Yep, I tried to be helpful, as did others, but he is just way over reacting-to people on here and even the dealer. I mean really 2 hours to get a tire done is a while, but when you roll in without an appointment you should really be happy they can work you in and get you out the door in a couple hours. I've had scheduled services take longer.

Let's just all have a group hug and say we're sorry...

Everything has been straightened out. My daughter was visiting and I let her get on my computer after a few too many mixed drinks. Well, I only have a few things on my desktop shortcuts and she managed to find them and quickly figure out that the same password that got her logged into my computer was the same one used on WT and paypal. She thought she was doing me a "favor". When I found out what she did, what she said, and what she posted and that she got into my account settings and played with stuff I immediately kicked out but out of my house and told her not go come back until she grows up and sobers up! No, it was NOT me posting that crap. I've been making a joke out of it if you read past posts. No, I'm not always whining or having issues. I'm sorry so many of you are perfect but some of us are not and some of us who recently lost their beloved parents tend to have a life filled with things that go wrong on a daily basis. When I "complain" about something concerning my bike, it's not really "complaining" as you might think, it's explaining the bad luck I've been having with my new bike. Hey, maybe I got a lemon. People get cars that have issues new, so why can't a bike be "bad"? It can. So call me all the names you want or perhaps act a bit more grown up about this like barton, but when you post all those slams it only shows a bit of immaturity and big-headedness and that you're trying to make yourself look better than others. But while you're posting all your opinions of me keep in mind that if I was just some screwball who came to WT to whine and complain, I certainly would not have made donations to the forum in an effort to thank them for being here and to do my part in helping keep it going, something too many of you "slammers' haven't done. Why? Because it's "free"? Well, it's not. Someone is paying, so instead of continuing to see which one of you can "outslam" the other, why not use your time to maybe make a donation or two to prove to the others that you truly care about WT and want to see it continue. Also, you might want to ask someone you know who is computer literate how easy it would be for someone else to pretend to be who they are not if they have that person's passwords.

I didn't start this crap. SOME of you folks did. Not all of you. I got some very useful info from a LOT of you.

So please, let's just have a group hug and pretend this never got blown out of proportion. I was really digging your advice and tips on how to find the issue with my back tire, which seems to have suddenly gone away for some reason. But when a few of you mentioned that the dealer may have tossed in a few used dampers or left one out and stuff, my only thought was "they better not have". I wouldn't think an authorized Honda dealer would mess with a customer's bike, but after reading some of your posts I began to think that maybe they had. I was not saying they DID. Only that I sure hoped I didn't find used dampers on my bike if I pulled the wheel.

I think a few of you might want to consider taking a deep breath and reading slower and slower until you fully understand what someone is trying to say in their posts before coming unglued on them.

You're so full of ###t it's unbelievable! No one buys that line of crap, jeez, that's as bad as Isiah Thomas telling the press it was his daughter when he overdosed on sleeping pills.

I'm a calm and reasonable man, I'm not overreacting nor is anyone else here that's fed up with your drama queen act. I've met many people from this forum and every single one has been great. We stick together, we love this forum and we stand up for each other. Motorcyclists are one big family, and it's extremely easy to spot a bad egg and a phony. You're a liar, plain and simple, and evidently have major issues as well. This forum would be best served if you were no longer part of it.

Well sorry for the mishap (assuming your telling the truth ) ...As you can imagine, It seemed pretty F'd up coming from our ends...WT is a tight knit group who do their best to look out for one another...And WT is also a very forgiving group whom welcomes riders from all walks of life with open arms onto the forum

And so you know...Many of us have donated to the forum bud...Many of us have been around for a long time as well...Just look to the left in our avatar

I stand by what I said above. The statments in those posts were out of line . I dont care who made the posts, because neither I nor anyone else can know who really made them. I just know that what was in them seemed to be overreacting, by my standards. Plus the Paypal complaint filed against Ripper was crap. Those posts combined with that complaint is the reason that people here reacted negatively. They did not start anything-----They reacted to what they saw happening here.

As McCrimmon said, there are many here who have supported the forum, and for a long time too. That doesnt give any of us a free pass to be a dum-azz though.

I think the other thread got deleted as I was about to post this.

It is a pretty weak explanation if you ask me. And I particularly didnt like the fact that he insinuates that people were starting things with him when in fact they were just reacting to his posts. And I dont care if they were him or not, cuz can never know that. But no one said anything that wasnt a direct result of his posts, or the unwarranted paypal complaint. And then he tries to justify it by saying he donated to the website. Oh and we should read slower, so we understand what he is saying before we post. No one misunderstood or misconstrued anything he said.

If He wanted to man-up, just apologize, and say let's go on that I can do. But I'm not cool with excuses and not taking accountability for your actions. Even if it was his daughter, its his account, and his responsibility to keep it secure. Just like the other posts, that supposedly werent his, he blames his bike, his daughter, and everyone else while not taking any responsibility himself. Seems like the same BS to me

I don't believe a word of it. Not a single solititary word.

Weak excuse and totally unplausable. She happened to wander in here. She happened to go onto your paypal. She happened to write somethings in the same typing style and grammar useage as you do.

BULLSHIIIT

And apparantly you think I started this stuff. Nope you did. You lied and tried to hurt Rippers business when everyone knew they had to wait.

And be happy the things you typed in that pm weren't told to me face to face. I don't like people who "stud up" from a distance. Or did SHE type that also

I don't usually get all fired up like this, even back when I used to participate in the P&P forum. There will always be members with diverse opinions that will lead to spirited discussions, that's what makes this forum fun. This is a totally different situation IMHO.

Honestly it's not worth our trouble to waste any more time on this guy. I sincerely hope he goes away as we don't need this crap on our cozy little forum. I appreciate every other member on here and try to treat all people with the respect they deserve. I feel a line was crossed in this situation that warranted my harsh words, but once again, this guy isn't worth wasting another minute on.

It's a beautiful Sunday, I hope everyone has a chance to ride and enjoy the day.

Scott

Oh my goodness. I just saw this thread. What happened yesterday? My son must have got on the computer and made this mess. Omg. How could this have happened?

Wow. I am soooo sorry. I cannot believe my son would have done something like this.

It was either my son or maybe sugar or pookie did it. I'm innocent

hairball I am responding here and not in a PM because you have them turned off. In response to your daughter posting for you I personally do not believe anything you typed. I have children and step children and they would NEVER do what you state your daughted did. I guess they must have some respect for me and my accounts. If your daughter did any of the things you said she did she must not respect you very much and if you are using her as an excuse I guess you do not respect her either. I would like to know how she could actually think she was helping you out by filing a complaint on you paypal account then going on here and posting for you. IMO you are using her as a scapegoat for your actions (I could be wrong but I don't think I am). As I stated at the begining your PM'S are off so I responded here.
For your information I have not donated money not because I don't think the site is worth it but I really can not afford it at this time. I do buy products offered here so in a way I do help the site.
All of this was done be me. This came from my brain to my hands to the keyboard and was in no way changed or altered by my wife, kids or any other person who has access to this computer (just thought some humor at the end would be nice )
