Thanks semi gray!

Got the pairs plates the other day, took about an hour to put them on today, and to remove the carbon canister and pcv. Bikes looks cleaner, and definitely feels better. No more backfiring. And almost 5 pounds off the weight. I'm happy. Thanks...

How much of that 5-lbs is from the canister?

BTW - I may just find time tomorrow morning to install the plates. They look good, Semi-Gray!

Hey, you're welcome! I'm glad I could help.

I've been thinking about the internet in general helping me get things done. I'm working on a project right now to replace the Eaton G80 differential in my '00 Z71. I've ordered a Detroit Truetrac and am picking up bits and pieces to make the job go a little smoother.
I've gone to forums to investigate which unit to use, techniques and tools needed and have found a world of information that supports my effort.
The internet really is a tool to assist us all in becoming better mechanics, if that's what we choose to get out of it.
