Sato baffle transplant

I was going along with Nemo's guide on repacking Sato pipes, and ran into the same problem as him, the baffles are shot on one end.

I'm not really mechanically sound, so I was running this idea through my head. If you take some baffles from an otherwise quiet pipe and transplant them into the Satos (as long as the diameter matches) will the Satos run quiet, or will they still be loud? Not really sure how much a baffle affects the loudness of a pipe.

I would think it would work but I'd be inclined to contact LDH to get the proper baffles.

Get the proper baffles and if you want to make it quieter make up a insert for the outlet that is a smaller diameter then the existing one. Any decent muffler shop will be able to make you one (or two!).

Google image search 'db killer' and you'll see what I mean.
