Oil temparature while winter goes on and....

Winter does seem to last for ever round here - this the second month straight, with sub zero (celsius) degrees, slow the ocean round Denmark starts to freeze over....

Time for something "creative"

Its'a instrument (Stage6 - from Germany) ment to be on a scooter, but did't want some big ol' clock dial, the prize was okay - round 60 $ seems to function okay, maybe a little touchy, even the smallest contact makes a change in temp. shown....

Greets' from a indeed winterly Denmark

Thats cool man. Where does it install to get the oil temp? Almost looks like the drain plug.

The readout looks great, perfect size.

Well got my bike park't in my kitchen - thats why there's wood on the floor (one of many "legal" things one can do, when not living with a woman in the house)

The part come from here Stage6 - Scootertuning Parts "hard couple of lads"

The "feeling" thing goes up the buttom of the drain plug - a little bit tricky job, but looking at all that snow and ice outside, time's no objeckt.

Power I stole from the parking light, leaving it working, and importent to me - without cutting in the org. wiring - else quite simple almost plug and play kind'a'like

There is not much more to take pictures of regarding the install, it sit's behind the org. dial's with some kind off two way velcro, easy and trouble free keep it simple solution.

In my mind - the oil temp is by far the most importent thing to know about once you start riding, don't mind the water all that much - the oil will tell you when ready really to get riding.
So ever since the day I got my 919, this has been the most wanted mod to my bike.

Greet's from Denmark
Hans
