New tail

With the season waiting just around the corner (starts 1st March - insurance issues) and too many boring hours available, waiting for the snow will melt, and not least, unwillingness to pay for too expensive italinske jewels (read Rizoma)
made them from an old car speaker front grill - matched the color as best I could, and now there are only 3 days to the season starts .....

It looks much better without the grab rail - more pictures will follow

Salut from Denmark
Hans

Cool.

I too made my own - I scored another stock grab-rail off our equivalent of E-bay and attacked it with my trusty hacksaw and files. A blast of paint later and sweet. Total cost was $15.

I thought you found a new girlfiend.........

The tail looks great and yes, the grab rail just ruins the sexy 919's overall looks.

Wow, that looks great too. By the way, I hate you for living in beautiful New Zealand!

yep, some days when out on the bike I even slow down and enjoy the scenery!

The best part from a motorcyclists point of view is the roads - I'd be hard pressed to think of anywhere in NZ where a nice set of hills is more than 30-45 minutes away.

My wife and I got married down in Queenstown back in 2005. What an amazing place. We also rented a Wing up near the Bay of Islands and even up there, the roads are incredible.

If the US keep heading down the same path, I might just tattoo my face and tell everyone I'm Maori.

While I agree it looks smooth without the grab rail, I find it extremely useful for steadying the bike when putting it on a wheel stand or center stand. To each their own.

No problems with a rear race stand once you get used to it. If you take the seat off first there is plenty of hand holds too.

Then I got the tail again - it looks a lot better than with the grab handle, not very practical, but who gives a sh.. when the music plays.
en the music plays.

Was in Hamburg - Germany, to purchase equipment for the season are still waiting for it to come, had received a gift for new gloves of my girlfriend, but I ended up getting these rim stripes here in reflective blue (same color as my hornet)

She got her some new leather pants and gloves, just name of the game, I think
