Interesting. Where did the parts come from? Is this stuff from an Automotive app?

Kinda looks like the old school Monza stuff from back in the day

haha yeah i know. something seems a little bit wrong with it, perhaps the size? Exhaust is an ixil exhaust, found it for the new hornet cb1000 on ebay around 300 aud. sounds a lot quieter than what i was using for a while (no muffler) stating the obvious there. Once its all on properly i'll try to get some vids on , although the sound quality is poor on my phone. Only problem is its stainless and the header i have is not stainless. So welding may be a little ugly.

We need sound clips! I know it's quiet compared to no mufflers at all, but I'd still like to hear what it sounds like.

Looks nice, but I wonder how much torque was lost. Do you have any plans to get it dyno'ed?

i'll get a video made up on my days off. As for the torque lost a dyno will only be the way to tell i guess. But seeing as there wasn't a before dyno be hard to compare. Restrictions are pretty buch the same as a stock pipe at the minimum. But still rides well.

Have you gotten a Dyno on this yet? I was thinking of doing the same setup for my 02. What do you recommend?

Is there a reason that losing torque is a foregone conclusion?

Bad A$$! Seen it on one other 919 here. Looks like it belongs on the bike, goes with the whole naked sceme of the bike. Glad you shared what model you ordered so other can use that info. That will be my next choice when I get to that point.

Nice looking mod you have there but I wonder what if you ride in the rain? That upward pointing exhaust will surely collect water in there...
