Is the F4i lower fork compatible with 919 upper fork?

I'm wondering if the lower section of the f4i fork with fit and go together with the 919 upper section?

hello and welcome! The short answer is no because the internals of the lowers are different. Mcromo can give you a fully detailed answer.

what you can do is install f4 or f4i forks as everything will bolt right up. You'll then need to relating as the f4/f4i forks are super mush.

feel free to ask questions and search since you've come to the right place! Tons of info here.

Uppers look same

I know the lowers are different but uppers look same. I have both sets of front ends just f4i uppers look worse for wear and not sure the uppers are salvagiable. My 919s is in great shape.

thundertusk, if the f4i uppers are pitted, you can try to buff them out or take the forks apart and take the tubes in to be sandblasted and renickled/chromed (whatever you prefer) or buy a new pair of uppers to replace them.

here is the thread regarding the f4i lowers. it's been tried and tested to no avail.
planning a F4i fork swap.
