found a weakness...

Tonight I was riding home and went to shift to second gear, pull in the clutch and nothing, crap I broke the cable goes through my head... I just changed the cable how did it break? I was messing with my levers today, so maybe the pin popped out of the lever, I think. Ok, lets get home its close, thankfully I praticed down shifting with out a clutch, grab a hand full of throttle release, shift down when the tranny is unloaded. Ok I got this roll to the stop light rev match down shift turn left, I'm good. Pull into my garage check it out, all is connected and moving but no pressure... crap its internal. I pull off the clutch cover to find the pin lifter head sheared off.

New one is on order at 40 bucks for a little pin plus the gasket...

yeah, I got it... but I'll prolly have a week of down time on the bike... Guess I better throw the transmission back in the car tomorrow ( have it out on my counter rebuilding it)

btw the 9'r has about 70-80k miles on it, other than bearings this is my first major problem and it is ridden hard, I cant tell exact milage because I rode for over 2 years with no speedo and put some serious miles on
