I'm looking at buying one of these sets within the next couple of weeks since my chain is completely toast.
Distributors and/or dealers that buy the products in bulk can offer those kinds of prices. The DID ERV3 520 chain that we sell the most of ranges in price on the web from $150 to $260, but I sell that same chain for $135. I also sell the complete conversion kit combo for $225. I buy those chains in bulk so that I can offer those prices. Most shops won't bother to put 30, 40 or 50 of them on their shelf at a time as it ties up too much of their money just sitting there waiting to sell.

Just be wary of any deal that seems to good to be true. A lot of places like to advertise $140-$160 chain and sprocket sets, but they are usually selling crap EK or RK chains with Vortex sprockets and the like instead of high quality DID chains with AFAM etc...
