919 Headers did the search

OK quick and simple ( I hope ) question. What series stainless are our headers made from, 300 or 400?

Fom the corrosion evident on so many 919 systems I'd say it's 400 series, though the exact alloy is locked up in Honda's archives. 4** is the most common stainless alloy used for exhaust systems.

I met a gentleman who works at a plant where they chemically 'Polish' stainless and aluminum. From the items he's shown me it's rather impressive, he would need to know what family the stainless is as that would determine the soup required. I was going to give him my headers at the end of the season.
