I thought my warning light was just defective or had a bad connection because it would blink on over bumps .Bike would always run good until now.It is stalling and hard to start, but then will run good for a while with no problems or blinking warning light
I have a few brief questions... having recently experienced a very similar sounding problem... Do you have the service manual? would you like to download one? How many blinks is it giving when it comes on? Do you have a Powercommander?
These are just preliminary questions... What kind of troubleshooting have you done so far?

hey, thanks for answering. My blinks are very erractic the more the increase the bike starts stalling. Both times when i get the bike home to trouble shoot every thing works perfect.I have checked relays and connections, pink wire to the gray ecm connector will cause the bike to stall when worked back and forth, but i don't think this is the root of the problem.Wondering if it could be a weak relay making and breaking after riding a while. Is it a good idea to wire out the bank tilt sensor?Going riding later ,let you know what happens. P.S. a repair manual would be great.

A wire that when wiggled will kill the engine isn't the root of the problem? Hello! The Pink wire is the master initialization signal for the ECU, from a zener diode in the ignition switch. If it loses that signal the entire system will shut down, and that fact is not in the service manual. More than likely you have already found the problem -- you just have to believe it.

Weak relays are very rare, but I suppose could be the cause. A more likely cause could be an intermittent ground at the frame or a battery connection that isn't all it could be. The bank angle sensor could indeed be the cause as well. A temporary bypass to test is acceptable, just jump the Red / Orange (harness side) or Red / White (sensor side) wire to the Green wire (ground).

i have to agree with rob here, i think hes right. you did find the problem. look into it farther.

Well then, you might want to check the loose nut behind the handle bars!
Seriously aaron, Rob knows his stuff. Listen to him.

The pink wire working back and forth releases small amounts of operational smoke from inside the wires... once the smoke gets out, it's very difficult to put it back in...the 919 never runs right unless it has the full amount of smoke inside the wiring harness.
All joking aside, pay attention to Rob...he is the definitive go-to guy for wiring issues.
report back when you get your problem fixed, and good luck!

Yes, R T probably has it pegged.
But based on some rather embarassing personal experience, if you have a PCIII, also check the thin ground wire connection at the battery post and also the connection that the crimped on wire tap makes to the yellow traced red wire. (This is the wire tap that the grey wire out of the PCIII connects to.) I can assure you that a bad ground and / or poor wire tap connection can cause gremlins.
