81 zook gs 750 cuts out

when given throttle.

Neighbors bike. Acquired from someone else in boxes. gone through and reassembled including rebuilding the mikunis.

He's got the idle squared it seems. It sounds really good. Smooth. But when he twists, it cuts out/ stalls.

I don't know, but I'm guessing something is backwards. The cable ? the rack ?
is that possible ? Gotta be something obvious. Ideas

Could be several things -
Id double check the fuel supply - souds like he isnt getting fuel in fast enough to re-fill the bowls - maybe ?
Id also pull the plugs to see if they are wet with fuel - if they are that will lead dow na different route -

Thanks 2ohno. turned out to be #1. not enough fuel in the tank letting gravity and slosh work against him. Fixed and he's out practicing.
