It appears a few on here have sold all their HD black t-shirts and bought a Honda.

Still have the Harley's, and I even still wear the t-shirts while riding the Honda, it gets me stares, but no one has commented.......yet.

Hey, where's that NWS category that was supposed to be brewing here? I thought WT was going to let it all hang out!

Old thread alert. I changed plugs today and +1 on the tool in the "optional" tool kit. Number 3 takes a little patience but can be removed and replaced with the tool and a 1/4 drive ratchet and short 10mm socket. I sort of used my wrist to hold the radiator hose up and out of the way. I'm bought the regular NGK plugs for $6 at Advance Auto. The old ones didn't look horrible at 7200 miles but I'm glad I changed them. Took $24 and an hour.

That tool is worth it's weight in gold. I switched to changing the plugs at 16K miles at the same time as valve clearances. Much easier with all the crap out of the way.

in this order ... 5/8 spark plug socket, 3/8 drive universal joint, 3/8 drive 12 inch extension, 3/8 drive ratchet. run the extension/ joint/ socket between the wire bundle and the back bone of the frame from the top down into the spark plug hole. just changed plugs and it was harder to get the plug boot back on tight than remove the plug itself...

If there is a will there is always a way when it comes to making tools work.

CCT on my f4i was the same. Hack saw, tape, and random tools got that pita of a job done.

couple wobble 3/8ths extensions and a good spark plug socket work wonders. my snap on sparky socket is exceptionally thin and the wobbles i have from them have a little more wobble and wiggle clearance than my craftsmen and cheapy ones it seam and make the job complete cake. the shafts on my snap on stuff has less girth in the main shaft part and in the ends that really restrict the other wobbles from doing there job in the hole.

one of those rare times less girth in the hole is better.
