should i remove my rim strips?

I had these retro reflective rim strips on for a while and thinking i might remove them as they are showing wear and might like the change. What do you think?

Btw i have red galfer lines, red adjusters on my levers, red caps on my sliders and red spark plug wires.

Take them off and enjoy the change. They're only $25 when the urge comes to put some on again.

BTW - I'm nearing the same point with mine. They will be coming off sometime in the next month or so.

I have a red shock if you wanna trade for that yellow one...

I say keep them, but like Ottawa says, you can try it for $25. There's also variation on rim stripes you can swap them to.

I like the stripes but if they are worn you could do like said above and ride without them for a while to see if you like it and replace them if you want.

Yeah they do, but you would have to build them yourself.

I like 'em but yeah $25 bucks is cheap enough to try not having them there.

Play nice guys, how about we come to an agreement and put them back on just ONE wheel.

Ferris, you can choose which.

Only the wheel. Not the color. We each choose two colors, and the top 5 get randomized across the wheel stripe.

I think fluorescent colors are coming back. I choose Lime and Pink.

I like the look, always have. They reflect enough that It helps just that much when it comes to being seen.

Did you buy them or did they come with the bike when you bought it? Does any one know a place, other than e-bay, that I can buy some?

I always wanted to polish just the outer edge of my 919 wheels, leaving the inner part black. My bike was all blacked out other than the headlight rim and Sato exhaust tips, thought it would add just the right amount of bling.

There are all kinds of stripes and decals for the Super Duke wheels but I hate to mess with the cool Marchesini stickers

Hey Ferris, if you remove them and you get bored and want another set I have some that I bought 4 years ago and never installed....you can have them for just the shipping cost if you want. Doubt I'll ever get around to putting them on

Indeed but its hot and not very conspicuous. Might i recommend the icon military spec vest. Its orange, doesnt look like a construction vest, and is mesh so it breaths well. I have one and i like it alot for extra visibilty in the rain since my rainy day gear is dark in color.
