oxford hot hands...
Has anyone used these? I'm wondering if they are worth the money for the ease of use. My main reason for wanting to use these is I really don't have anywhere to instal an on/off switch or controller for regular heated grips, and with these, I could just remove them when I'm not using them...
Thoughts?

Got to use them a few times on loaner bikes. The seem to work quite well.

I have the Oxfords sport(s) heated grips, they work great if you don't mind replacing your grips.

I'd like to avoid replacing the grips if I could, which is why I like the idea of the over grip heaters... Just wondering if they are worth the hassle, if they still grip the throttle and so forth...

I have a set, they do grip the throttle pretty good. As far as beeing hot they will work until you hit tempereture bellow 32F, then you will need extra protection.

My factory grips have been replaced a long time ago. I have Rizoma's and I did not notice any melting. I'll have to keep an eye open for that, thanks...

I've had them for two years now and love them. They will not melt your grips -and I've had them on for several hours at a time, are rubberized on the inside to offer grip. Downside is that there's no rheostat, it's either on (which can get REALLY hot -even with insulated gloves) of off. This year I bought a rheostat from radioshack and will replace the stock switch.
I can't think of once I regret the $50 I spent on mine.
