I have the clear alternatives sequential integrated tail light and i like it. The custom led one is brighter but the c.a. one has better movement and comes with a clear lense. I picked it up from 58 cycles.

i do not recommend the clear altnernatives for several reasons: 1. just isn't very bright. i notice a big difference between the custom led and the clear alt. 2. as mentioned, clear alt. is out of business so there's no support. 3. clear alt is known for having quality issues and you get what you pay for. 4. custom led has some really cool programming on their units, check them out!

Thread jack...
I wonder if custom led would "mod" my c.a. board with their brighter leds yet retain the animation of the c.a. sequential light

not likely due to programming space limitations. you'd be better off asking the builder if he can build you a one off with no features except for what you want.

lol, more like I'm too lazy to go to each video and paste the URL.
Typing the channel URL is just too easy.
Oh, and they might find some of the other videos useful...

Two major brands make the integrated taillight:
CA = Clear Alternatives (actually out of business now or at least stopped making them)
Custome LED.

Agreed their other lights have that feature. I am sure he could make you a one off. It should be much cheaper now that he has a working unit to modify.

He can def. make a one off. He told me at first it would cost around $500. Thats when I started the group buy to lower that cost. As for modifying the unit now? mabey, I wonder if he could use the same printed circuit board to make a sequential tail light. Keep us posted if you go down that route.
