While owning the 919, I still craved for a sportbike. The exhaust stink on the 919 only helped with the decision to let it go and buy something with the money I got from selling it.
Well two weeks after selling my 919, I took a trip up to PA (800+ miles) to purchase a bike I found on Craigslist: a 2006 Honda f4i with only 933 miles on it. Yes...less than 1,000 miles on a bike that is 5 years old. The guy kept it pretty well, never let it sit for too long, used trickle charger, used fuel stabilizer, moved the bike around during winter months in his garage, and ran the bike whenever possible. Needless to say, I was very happy to buy this practically brand new motorcycle for the same amount I sold my 919.
Man have I missed the new bike feeling, and this definitely quenches that thirst. Still smells like a brand new bike. About to turn over it's first 1,000 miles. Loving this bike so far, engine runs so smoothly and screams like a 600 should.
"Security is mostly a superstition, it does not exist in nature: avoiding danger in the long run is no safer than outright being exposed. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing."-Helen Keller
I'm surprised there are still bikes out there that old with 0 miles. There's one (f4i) that has been on eBay for a couple weeks now. It's at a dealership in NY. Honda : CBR 600F4i | eBay
I had a hard time thinking of a legitimate reason not to buy this bike, but decided that it was best I take the road trip out to buy it.
And wow, I did not realize I made a thread with a very similar title to someone else's on here haha. I guess I subconsciously thought of his thread while making my title. Weird how the mind works like that.
Congrats man, can't wait to start seeing some vids of it on your youtube channel! Now all you have to do is get rid of that giant potato launcher on the side
Nice bike, congrats! I've purchased several used bikes with under 1000 miles, seems lots of people love the concept of a new motorcycle, but sometimes the reality is different and they never ride them. Means we get to pick up a virtually new bike a few years later for a huge discount over retail!
Pretty cool find there, Toast....But it ain't naked!

I know I know. I do want two bikes because of the reason that I enjoy switching riding styles every one in a while. I figured after a year or two of saving up, I'd buy myself a cafe racer such as a Thruxton or something similar as a secondary motorcycle. Probably something cheaper such as an old CB Honda that I can cafe for a cheaper price. I have been lusting after a Thruxton for a while not though. In a perfect world where I have a decent paying job...I'd love to get another naked like a Street Triple.

You were one of the first to guess I had sold it. 8-) Haha...the potato launcher is here to stay for a while, unless I come across a really good deal on an exhaust next year. I actually kind of like the way the stock exhaust sounds.

Congrats on the find. That thing looks like it has a lot of 919 parts on it. And +1 on finding the new leftovers with 0 miles - what kills me is that Honda requires you to show up to buy one. Why? I can buy a new car and have it shipped to me (I've done it) so why does Honda Motorcycles require one to show up? I hate seeing leftovers 2000 miles away.
Sweet new ride! Just yesterday I traded up too! Must be something in the air during all these Fall rides.
Very nice. 8-) Yeah I just had to snag an f4i. Wouldn't really call mine a trade-up though...different types of bike, lower displacement...better suspension though

That's stunning to say the least. Great pictures of it, too.
Stunning! Well done.
I was really excited to come across that Craigslist ad. It was unfortunately I had to travel 800+ miles to get it but it makes for a fun little fact to tell. Met up with a friend in Philly for lunch too.
And as for the pictures...yes, I am loving the camera on this iPhone 4s Excellent quality for a phone.
Got lucky like that in 07 when I bought my Warrior. it was an 05 and the guy had 550 miles on it. In two years! Course I traded it a year later for the 919. Some bikes are doomed to never find a good home.
