White Wheel stripes on black 919

I'm thinking about doing this since the stickers are cheap and if I don't like it I can take it off. How you guys think a thin white rim stripe would look on a matte black 9er?

I think it'd look sweet. Maybe someone with photoshop skills will do it?

I put red ones on my red bike coz I felt the colour kind of faded away after the tank and tins....down to nothing but black. I'm pleased with the effect, it gives you something to look at below the rest of the colour line. The white will do a similar thing on yr bike.

If you're even thinking of doing it, you'll probably like the effect...and if not, so what? Take 'em off, what have you lost?

Here's a DIY applicator setup. Works great I used it on a friends 675. It allows you to use Straight run pin stripping in whatever width you want. Handy little rig, and dirt cheap. We did an 1/8" stripe on his for under $10 with enough left over to do another bike. Just make sure u make 2 applicators one for the front and one for the rear.

It will look great on the bike - I'd also consider one of the metallic silvers that are available or a titanium colour.

I've seen some snazzy HRC text and stripe ones on Ebay too. Plus there is a seller that will do custom text for you.

Thanks for the input dudes. Now I'm thinking of picking up some red ones actually, I'm thinkin an auto parts store should have a pin striping kit right?

Just finished them, think maybe I should have gone with the 5/16th " the 1/8" seems a little too skinny, but I thought the 1/4" would be too big, now I see that was probably what I needed.

Anyway, they are pretty straight LOL. Upon close inspection they aren't perfect, but I think it adds a nice touch. I also bought some silver so if I get tired of these I'll scrape em off and try those for a while.

Nice. I always thought the red stripes looked good on the black bikes.
