I'm going to go against the crowd and say the Bonne. I love retro and it certainly is. Remember, Brando rode a Triumph, not a Harley.

Bonneville, just looks more classic to me. A guy I used to work with had a 2010 (I think) in green and white. Classy.

I would never purchase either one, but if someone were giving me one I'd take the XR.

Bonneville. But it wouldn't cost too much to get that XR in the AMA series!

Bonnie for sure.
IF the X, it would need to be V&H AMA kitted up to make in interesting enough.

As much as I like Triumph I'm with the XR crowd. I've liked that bike ever since it first came out.

919, oh wait, that wasn't an option.

I'd give the edge to the XR. I've liked them for a while too.

Love em both ..... but I would definitely go with the XR . The newer models (like the one pictured are much better with the improved front fork brakes and all black color).

Love the Thruxtons though as well.....

I'm downtown with the XR to boot!

But do not get me wrong. I'd own the Bonnie!

they just look real weird in person its hard to explain almost like individual people designed everything that stuck it all together... stuff just doesnt seem to go together if you catch my drift.

A thruxton is the same thing as a Bonneville but with a uncomfortable seating position and wire wheels.

The XR is not what I'd consider a small bike - compared to a Road King yes, but compared to say the 919 it is a sizeable piece of metal.

Xr for sure but I'm not a fan of the blacked out Harley's...they need at least some chrome, I'm not a chrome fanatic but a Harley isn't the same without it

I've ridden a ton of Harley's old and new and they're great, can't beat the sound and feel.

Triumph all the way everyday! Not a fan of the XR, I like the idea of the XR but there is something about the way they executed it that doesn't look right to me.

I was at the local HD dealer picking up some Buell parts last week, they have a satin black sportster on the floor marked off by barricades. I asked the parts guy if they sold match paint as I really liked the look of that satin. He went off on a rant about how the paint & clear were garbage. He took me over and showed me all the damage caused by people sitting on the bike. The tank had marks all over it from customers just getting on and off, they decided to rope it off in hopes to keep people off of it.

I'd like to see the XR1200 with Aztec Twin 4" Headlights... that tucked-in stocker doesn't work

Between the two, I'd take the Bonne. The streamlined look of the Harley along with similarities to their cruiser design just doesn't feel right.

Back in '05 the ex's father ordered a Electra Glide FLXH$$$$ in a beautiful dark cherry. We were out in his garage having some beers as he showcased his beautiful pig. After looking at it for a few minutes I realized it had a pinstripe on the L/H hard bag and side cover, the R/H had none.

There QA department must consist of blind monkeys.

My father owns two, one screaming eagle fat boy and one police special ultra glide

The polices special is like riding your living room couch down the street, doesn't vibrate at all, the screaming eagle vibrates but it doesn't matter because it's as fast as my 919 and has an awesome riding position if you're just going out to cruise around and make some noise
