The 919 works just fine in the rain...Mostly... But don't worry, the rain won't hurt ya. I use the "wet OR cold" rule. One, the other, but not both.

I won't ride when there's ice on the roads, that stuff is just _way_ too sketchy to mess around with.

eh i got over the rain blues as soon as i started to see the snow fall at the local ski resort (live cameras) ... then i started prepping ski stuffs. and drooling at the pow.

Now i sit and wait while i eat dinner and debate on going skiing or doing the right thing and going to class tomorrow. haha.

Riding in the rain... no thanks, way to many good days round these parts to have to go out and ride in the rain... though if its a summer time real tropical rain thats warm, that is a different story... its quite an awesome experience being in the twisties with a light warm drizzle.

I ski, fly fish on warm days, ice fish on cold, snowshoe, hang out drinking Oatmeal Stout and smoking cigars. Oh and I ride on the nice days. Pretty much I still have fun.

Write and work on stuff in the garage. I've got a CB350 to tinker on and picked up a Porsche 924 (van motor one) to fiddle with.

It rained in the Northeast most of the Summer. Now the rain is just going to be snow, at least the flooding my basement will stop for a few months!

I read and PhotoShop for people who are modding / painting their vehicles.

I also take the time to save my gas money i normally spend for 6 months for a big trip in June every year.
This year, I'm taking my son snowboarding and doing more ice fishing.

I'll start training for my half marathon end of January and then start putting some enhancement suspension parts on the bike.

This is, of course, if everything goes as planned....

Nothing wrong with rain other than it is hard to get a photographer to stand out in it at the track and take pics

When it turns to snow however, well that is a different story

Seasons make me appreciate the bike that much more. After riding all summer I get bored with riding the bikes and dont mind putting them away for a few months. Come spring time its that new exciting feeling all over again.

About to ride up to my dad's place in a couple hours for turkey. 40 something out, can't complain. Just hope most of the salt / sand the city poured on the inch of snow the other day is washed away... They overkilled it.

Any of you Minnesota guys think it's gonna snow at all today? I like my Pilot 2's in rain, but don't have the balls to try them in snow

That's a good point. I do love that "fresh season" feeling. But I never want to get off the bike haha

Not me, I dread the winter, I never get tired of my Sundays on the bike. My wife tells me I get all assed up if I don't get out for a few weeks...

Spent about five and half hours on the 919, yesterday. Drove across the state and back. Beautiful day to ride.

If it were something to do with the marriage I'd hope you'd have been hotter and wetter...

Skiing leads to torn ACLs. At least with snowboarding both feet are strapped to the same piece of wood. Very hard to make your knees go in different directions that way.

I do want to try out snowboarding, just for something different tbh, looks much more fluid in the powda.

Tore my MCL snowboarding 3 years ago, it's still not right and causes me a lot of grief in day to day life.

Fractured my wrist in the terrain park at Keystone 2 seasons ago on the first day of a 5 day trip. I iced it, taped it up, put on a wrist guard that made it as stiff as a 2X4 and went right back up. I'm a slow learner

I have plenty of hobbies, so its not an issue I prefer it to snow like no tommorow if its going to be cold and crappy out, then the 4x4 can get some use!

so much for us northern folk having "riding seasons"... temps were in the mid
fifties yesterday and with no snow on the ground I just had to get the bike out for a ride. with mild temps and no precip forecast for the next ten days
I'll be riding Xmas and probably New Years too! and oh by the way that's without any heated gear.
