Steel braided brake lines from G&J???

Has anyone ordered from them recently? I'm curious if I'd still have to send my stock lines in cause I've been commuting on my bike. Kinda a sticking point for me, but I like the price and the color options...

Hoping they've done enough 919s to have the measurements, orientation, etc already on file...

Yup, they have that all on file. No need to send yours in. I just called them; took all of 5 minutes.

hmm whats the difference in height of the stock bar and the UL's... id say maybe have them make the fronts an inch less each side.

I would just get the stock length - it's a lot easier to hide a couple extra inches of cable than it is to get a couple more when you need it (ie, what if you change bars in the future)...

True and done! The originals fit ok on it so why wouldn't the SS ones. Thanks black ones are ordered!

+1 for pics. Picking up a set soon, and need to decide on the brand.

Really? The fronts are MUCH worse for me.

Just put some clear tubing on the bleed valve and suck like your a ...

well, just put some loops in it so you don't get a bad taste in your mouth.

Haha! No, I think it's cause the bike is sitting level. I need to point it down the driveway and red the rear again...eventually. I almost never touch it anyway. I have a mighty vac thing, so getting the fronts started was no big. I actually have 2, so I ran a line to both once fluid started moving and the fronts didn't take long. Just couldn't get the bubbles all out of the rear. I'll bleed again when I get home tomorrow...

Usually the rear brake is a breeze for me. Did you try teflon tape on the bleed screw threads? You may just be pulling air around the threads.

Tefflon tape for gas and oil, check! Maybe my rubber hose wasn't tight enough and was pulling air form there, but I tried working the peddal too. IDK. But it's true...I rarely use the rear brake anyway.

First impressions...I like em! Not the first time I've had braided lines. I had them on all my race bikes and street bikes. Just restored the "feel" and controll I'm use to. Not so grabby or squishy now. I'll check and bleed them when i get home.
