Rider Down - Me.

Guy in a Durango merged into me on a local freeway. I'm in a local hospital, word on the bike from the police is that it was only moderately damaged.

Sorry to hear of this.

Docs say minor concussion. I've been discharged - nothing broken, all the gear did its job. Impressive levels of bruising, though. Got really bad nausea from going through the spin cycle.

No idea about the bike. The officer that interviewed me afterwards in the hospital said that the Givi bars and the soft bags did a pretty good job of sucking up the damage and keeping it intact, though I dunno where they took it.

DPD just called me, nobody got the plates of the Durango. Or the second car I bounced off of after the Durango tagged me. Both ran.

Also, no wonder I don't remember anything from much after the impact until DFD medics were packing me up. Apparently after I ricocheted off the Durango, I hit that second car. And then went fucking airborne. As in, seriously airborne per the witness. I remember everything up to hitting the second car, just the instant of impact. After that, the next thing I recall is Dallas Fire scooping me up.

635 is easily the scariest highway in town.

The bike came out of it just fine. The tank dents were courtesy of the previous owner, not me.

I am feeling like I got hit by a truck. Oh, wait, I did. :P

Out of curiosity, when I went to look at it, I noticed the key was still in it. So I tried to start it - and it lit right off.

Hey Man,

Glad to hear that both you and your bike are both kind of OK.

As for the pain and brusing - it will last for a week or so. Take a cabage, get some leafs and wrap those around the brusing - it sounds nasty, smells after a couple of hours, but works miracles.

Get well soon!

that sucks man. I hope you have a speedy recovery. What pieces of shit though. you could have been DEAD and they just fled the scene. probably someone with a police record, or no records because they're illegal. I hope the police find a damaged durango and catch this POS.

but like everyone else said, the most important part is that your ok. and im happy for that
