re power commander

i have 2 questions here
1. on the instructions it says for the wire tap (locate the red wire with yellow tracer)
i have looked on the grey connector and could not see a red wire with yellow tracer
but did see a yellow wire and red tracer on it
would that be the same wire or was i just not looking hard enough (it was a bit dark by the time i got the ecu out to disconect the black connection)?

2. i have used 3 different batterys to connect the p/c to my computer to put a map on it
but have noticed they only last a minute before going dead
2 of the batterys were just cheap but the 3rd was a duracell power plus battery
is this normal?
thanks on any help with these

It's -22 outside and I just went into the unheated garage to get you taken care of !

1
The red and yellow wire should be the 3rd one in on the top row when looking down at the grey connector of the ECU.

2
You don't need to use the 9v battery method with a 919.
Simply install the PCIIIusb, and turn the key to "run" to do your map install and changes.
You can also do throttle synchs on a 919 without the engine running and just with the key in the "run" position.

I have a fair bit of PCIII info nicely bundled up for sharing.
If you want it, send me a PM with your e mail address so I can e mail it to you from my hotmail account.

Regards,

McTavish Mcromo
