Full disclosure:

Well 2,000 miles ago i bought a new motorcycle hauler.

2011 Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab, loaded up pretty nicely.

New motorcycle hauler

Well today the dealer told me they will be replacing the torque converter due to a "known issue" that effects only the 2011 1500 transmissions.

No fun to spend that kind of money and have problems before I even had my permanent plates.

sounds like a typical american made truck. I wont EVER buy one again.

We have had dodge's fords and chevies... every single one with their own set of crap problems early on....

All the toyota's ... nothing becides general maintenance and they all get driven 2x as much.

That does suck tho... did you have slipping issues or what? At least its covered under warranty.

Sorry for that, I miss quoted my friend. Him and I get into this same fight once a year. American(him) vs Japanese(I). I mentioned to him the fact of American cars being built in Canada and Mexico and he came back with the Final assembly quote. The 3.7 V6 and 4.7 V8 PowerTech are built in Detroit, Michigan If your saying the Transmissions are built in IN then I believe you but Chrysler is all UAW workers.
